Just a fan of MMA. Single handedly responsible for the boycott that led to the downfall of EliteXC. Finally, if you've heard anything bad about me, it's probably true!

Friday Not So Fun Thread
It's Friday, so in the spirit of anti-fun, this thread is for you, the "esteemed" (and I use that word very loosely) members of MMAmania, to post your pictures or GIF's of things that are not fun, such as listening to Rogan and Goldberg do play by play, hearing Luke Thomas' voice, or reading BloodyElbow for example.
Or...
Dressing like this on a train:
Not fun.
Now have fun posting things that arent fun.
Trying to rub one out.

I did not get in a fight this weekend... and saw "Gnomeo and Juliet"
It was a 75 degree Presidents Day in So. Florida. However, the winds were angry that day my friends, like an old man trying to return soup at a deli!
Paid $10 for 2 tickets to get into the movies, only to pay $9.75 for a small popcorn & 20oz Dasani water. I almost decked the 15 year old, pizza faced kid behind the counter when he told me the total, but being the Zen master I am I was able to maintain total self control and simply asked him "How much of that goes towards your minimum wage pay rate?"
He simply gave a look as if he was saying either "What the fuck are you talking about," or "Dude, get the fuck out of my line!" He's was lucky I dint feel like getting my fist full of Proactive and zit juice.
I later thought I was going to have to teach some 5 year old that cut in front of my daughter in the video game line a lesson in pain, but he knew what was up and quickly ran away like a little girl when I gave him the Carlos Condit Mean mug while simultaneously pumping my fist and yelling "YES" repeatedly. That kid just might have many nightmares and mental problems to come. And if he does then my job will have been done.
And that pretty much sums up my fight-free Presidents Day. I know. All of you wish you were me. You wouldn't be the first.
Long lost video that shows why a young Anderson Silva gave up BMX half-pipe stunt biking for MMA.
Seems like less than a year ago a certain MMA promoter was "obsessed" with signing Fedor. I can't remember the promoters name off the top of my head. Hmmmmmm ...

From TheLakersNation.com:
A group of the Celtics’ most famous fans, ranging from actors and comedians to other Boston-area pro athletes, has honored the team with a full-page advertisement in the Globe this morning.
"You are our 2010 World Champions. You defeated D-Wade, "Superman" Howard and "King" James. You took Kobe to 7 with Perk missing the last game" reads the ad.
[The ad] was signed by television personality Maria Menounos, comedian Dane Cook, actor Eliza Dushku and musician/actor Donnie Wahlberg. Patriots Wes Welker and Vince Wilfork and Wilfork’s wife, Bianca, also signed the ad, as did several others from the entertainment industry: — Chris Evans, Michael and Michelle Chiklis, Chris Ivery, Ellen Pompeo, Keven Undergaro and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

When watching this Direct TV commercial today I noticed how the UFC was mentioned, but boxing was not. In your opinion is this significant or is it no big deal?

This week Bellator Fighting Championships kicked off its 2nd season down here in So. Florida, and once again I was able to attend the festivities. Well, maybe I’m getting a little carried away by using the word festivities.

"My management is being taken care of by someone close to me," he wrote.

If any of you recall in my recent FanPost on the Strikeforce: Miami event that I attended, I made note about the large number of people that were wearing Affliction or TapOut. The day following the event, I was considering going to a GSP/Affliction signing in Miami where you had to have made a purchase of $50 or more within the month of January, day of signing included. Due to time constraints, I was not able to make it. However had I been able to, I no doubt would have dropped the $50 on a GSP t-shirt just to have him sign (not to wear).
I don't know if that would have made me a hypocrite, since I slammed a bunch of people that were wearing Affliction and/or TapOut shirts the night prior, but to me it seems ok to wear (or just collect) one as long as it has a fighters name on it, particularly one you are a fan of. Just wearing said name brands as fashion looks pretty toolish though IMO, much like when people wearing MMA camp shirts in public when they don't even train (a lot of guys down here who don't train wear ATT & Gracie shirts).
