Hogs Haven What are your thoughts for Black Monday coaching changes?

I was reading this article and thought it might be fun to see what people would guess as far as HC changes will be made.

Hogs Haven Building an OL

Somebody over at Arrowhead Pride created a great post on building an OL which I think a lot of you folks will enjoy. While I do think there are some issues with the analysis I think overall the article takes a smart approach on how to build an OL. Given the overwhelming concensus that our OL needs at least a little help it's a subject we're all concerned about.

Here's the link: Building an OL

Hogs Haven How patient is Snyder?

A big part of the discussions on whether or not to trade up for a QB is based on the long term effect on the team. In general teams (Patriots) seem to get ahead in the long run by trading down for more picks, not by trading up but can Shanahan afford to do that? I have to ask myself, how patient can Snyder be?

Hogs Haven Why use a 1st round pick on a QB? Here's why

Here the way I look at it, the odds of getting a decent starting QB go up dramatically when you use a 1st round pick.

Hogs Haven to draft a QB or not to draft a QB

There's been a lot of fun bantering about how to use the #4 pick and the crucial question seems to revolve around QBs.  Should we draft a QB or not.  Here's my rational on why we shouldn't.  I realize this is all just my opinion but it's what I think.

Hogs Haven coaches

While we (OK< Shanahan and Allen really but we're all for them, right?) seem to have a nice jump on building a coaching staff, some of the current coaches are leaving.  I moticed this Stump Mitchel story that says

Washington Redskins running backs coach Stump Mitchell has accepted the head coaching job at Southern University.

And it left me wondering if another other (besides Zorn) coaches have already left.  Does anybody else know of any?

Hogs Haven Offensive Linemen Draft Prospects

Most of us realize the off season priority must be the offensive line so I started doing a little reading on some of the top prospects.  My first assumption is that Okung and Williams have been discussed enough (if you don't think so then add more info), so I've listed some other top rated linemen and some of the scouting comments made about them.    My second assumption is that if we have a pick and there isn't an OL worth that pick then we trade down to get more draft picks and pick up a linemen later.

The list:

Hogs Haven Defensive coordinators ranked

Since we don't yet know for sure who our new DC will be I thought this article was interesting:

Personally I still hope we get Zimmer as he's taken the Bengals defense, which used to be a joke, and made them perform very well.
