McCovey Chronicles Granderson DL - Theoretical Question

Just saw Granderson landed on the DL with a broken finger. He's only expected to be out a couple of weeks but it did get me thinking....

In the event of another Granderson injury, one that was to last longer, would you trade Roberts (08-09 - $13m) for Inge (08-10 - $19.1m), under the premise that the Giants have ABs to give to younger OFs, and a chasm at 3B?

Yes or No?

McCovey Chronicles ZOBRIST

Seriously, Bocock cannot start the season at SS. There's so many reasons why.

I'm not the first to suggest that Zobrist fits the bill at all, but really wanted to start a fresh discussion on his value amd what it might take for the Giants to get him.

His future in TB is blocked immediately by Bartlett and in the future by Brignac - what kind of offer could the Giants make that would convince them he's expendable?

Would a combination of cheap OF and cheap bullpen arm be enough?

How about passing on some of the Giants O-O-O guys? Lewis/Davis and Threets/Valdez? Would the Giants need to add something else to the mix?

TB looks set for the immediate future in LF, CF, 3B, SS, 2B, 1B, and rotation. Lewis might be some nice insurance for RF and LF and I'm sure a high-potential arm could fit in the Rys 'pen somewhere.

I for one would be OK with a Zobrist acquisition. To me, Zobrist > Frandsen.
