Fsu leads for Kenny Shaw......

Top pass-catcher Kenny Shaw (Miami/Dr. Phillips) listed his favorites for ESPN affiliate Web site NoleInsider.com.

"FSU is on top. Then I have Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida and Ohio State," he said.

Shaw elaborated on the chances of another school swaying him from the Seminoles, "I don't know really. Going to the camp it definitely made it feel that way. They are not that too far ahead of everybody, but they are definitely up at the top."

Additionally, the 6-foot, 170-pound target said he'll take five official visits and recruiting slowly. Several other programs including Miami-FL, Michigan, LSU, South Florida, South Carolina, Kentucky, Rutgers, Boston College, Stanford, UCLA, Kansas, Syracuse and Central Florida have also offered.

ESPNU150 watch list member Sean Tapley just called to say that he and his teammate, Under Armour All-American defensive tackle Louis Nix, will be attending Florida State's Showtime Camp on Saturday and Florida's Friday Night Lights camp next Saturday (July 25).

Both prospects are committed to other schools -- Tapley to South Carolina and Nix to Miami (Fla.).

"I don't know about (Nix), but I am looking at all schools," Tapley said. "I think Lou is looking at all schools, too."

Rumor floating around that Ft.Lauderdale(FL) DB LaMarcus Joyner will commit to FSU before the end of the weekend. No confirmation on our end from anyone close to the situation.

Tomahawk Nation Ego Ferguson to Hargrave Academy?

Fredrick(MD) DE J.R. "Ego" Ferguson will transfer from St. John's Prep to Hargrave Academy. Tharinger.com

does this mean he wont be transfering to Darious Cummings high school and now what do you think our chances are on landing him. I really hope we can still land him he would be perfect for Odell to mold into the next Travis Johnson or Brodick Bunkley.

This is off-topic but there is a good Lamarcus Joyner article on ESPN. Lamarcus Joyner article

"I believe that there has never been a better defensive back than Deion Sanders," Joyner said. "I want to place my name beside his."

Joyner said former FSU defensive back Terrell Buckley was another defensive back he admired.

Tomahawk Nation Tavaris Barnes: has FSU cooled?

Jacksonville(FL) DT Tavaris Barnes has named North Carolina as his leader. Barnes has a really good relationship w/ UNC DL coach John Blake and it seems that Florida and Florida State have cooled on the 6'5" prospect._  Tharinger.com

Why would FSU just stop going hard after him? I think he is a great prospect and Odell could turn him into another 1st rounder.
