FA to match the pick?

There's been two guys rated as elite prospects and possibly a third in John Wall in the upcoming draft. I've heard rumors of a possible return of Hedo in Free Agency. Made me wonder, if the Kings choose to sign someone, what FA's would fit best with the pick?

Griffin would fit with Hedo. An extra shot creator would be needed on the perimeter if Griffin is the pick. Hedo's shooting ability would also keep the floor spread allowing space for both Griffin and Martin to work. His high basketball IQ would help the team too.

For Rubio, Marion might be a good pickup. His asking price has to be down and hopefully the ego too. With Rubio at point the Kings would probably use a lot more pick and roles. Marion is not a shot creator but can knock down the corner three and shouldn't need the ball in his hands. He provides good defense and is a very strong rebounder out of the 3 position. His rebounding would be key as Thompson and Hawes continue to get stronger and develop. It would be nice to have an above-average defender in the starting lineup too.

Wall, I don't know enough about. Might take a year or two to develop (if he's even in the draft). Might want to sign a couple solid veteran leaders to such a young team.

What do you guys think?

FOOCH'S NOTE: Thanks to abasketballfan and also maveric_87 for getting up FanPosts about this. Maiocco confirmed with Rathman that he's been offered the RB coach job. Nice to get our ducks in a row and slowly get the coaching staff assembled.
_______________________________________

http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/2009/01/rathman-back-in-san-fran/

Think it is a good move for the Niners. Rathman is a proven running back coach and it's nice to have a link to the glory years back on the staff. The teams he's coached have had good running games... not sure about the Lions but that's the Lions, I can give him a break.

Wonder if the mustache game was to recruit him over and ease any ill will from the Mooch firing.
