Where is Alan Faneca going?

Personally, I think that Faneca completes our offensive line. Yes he is getting old and carries a large contract but I think he earns every penny he makes. Is it worth getting rid of a proven player than risk it on a mid round offensive lineman. I just don't see the point. I would agree with this if Tannenbaum could trade Faneca for a mid first round pick to draft Mike Iupati from Idaho. He's a massive guy with great strength and feet. He would really complement Mangold and Ferguson and make the left side of the line very young. Please make the right choice tomorrow night Tannenbaum!!!

Santonio Holmes is going to look GOOD in green and white

This is so far the best signing in the off-season for Jets! Because of this acquisition, the Jets no longer have to draft a wide out and wait for him to develop or spend money and a fist round draft pick on Marshall. Although Marshall is a great football player when he is on the field, the price is too costly when we should save some money to re-sign some of the younger stars (Revis, Mangold, and Ferguson). A wide out was also much needed more than a defensive end or pass rusher because unlike our defensive which was the #1 ranked defense in the league, our passing game wasn't particularly reliable. Even though, Holmes will be missing the first 4 games, he provides a much needed lift for the offense so it isn't so one-sided or predictable.

But... It would be nice to also get the former defensive player of the year Jason Taylor. To me, our defensive is very good at all cylinders except for the D-line. Besides Jenkins, there is no pass rush on the line. With a dynamic defensive end, the Jets defensive could put pressure on the quarterback with out blitzing a linebacker and a safety every play. If the Jets sign Jason Taylor, they are now a favorite to win the division, to compete for the AFC championship, and a chance to win the Super Bowl we have all been waiting for.

Second How Bad Could Our Season Get?

First things first.. What is the deal with Mark Sanchez? 5 int.. Sure he didn’t have the three he worked with this off season, Cothchery, Smith, Stucky, and he played in new weather but he didn't look confident in his throws, and he was late on routes. I personally think that Jets fans should be worried about our franchise QB. With the pressure of the New York media and the fans, it is a difficult environment to come in as a 22 year old and prosper. I believe he has the ability to succeed at such a young age, but the Jets should have kept with the run. Sanchez shouldn't have even dropped back! When you have such a dynamic run game, which the Jets did, it is hard to not prosper in the passing game. It sets up the play action and the defense puts and extra man in the box so there is single coverage at the wide receiver.

Second, we shot ourselves in the foot by giving the Bills 91 yards from 13 penalties. We killed many of our drives and two important ones in overtime with dumb, unnecessary penalties like unnecessary roughness and false starts.

Third. We lost two key players to injuries. Kris Jenkins, who is sadly now out for the year, and Damien woody, who aggravated his foot.

I’m not being pessimistic but realistic, the Jets 2009-2010 season could possibly be over.

New York Jets Vs. Miami Dolphins

Last week, I appreciate all the comments. Keep on responding!

On to week 5. Last week was a tough loss. Sanchez looked shaky, our run defense looked poor during the second half. On a positive note, our defense in total looked outstanding considering the fact that our D was put in bad field positions and only allowed a field goal and a touchdown. I think that this week, it's going to look even better. With a less than decent WR core and a back up quarterback, the D will be racking up the stats. Whoever thinks that this game will be close is wrong. In this game, we're not even going to need our offense. A few scores should do it. Mark Sanchez should bounce back and have a better game than last week to say the least, with his new WR.

Welcome Braylan Edwards! Your Welcome Mark Sanchez.

Why in the world do Dolphin fans think that they have a chance in this game. I know you might think of this from a bias standpoint but think of it. Now with Lito Sheppard and Donald Strickland back, our secondary will look even stronger even though Lowery played very well last week. And when Mark Sanchez plays the weekest defense he has faced this year, its going to be a fun game to watch as a Jets fan. Dolphins, Not so much.

New York Jets Vs. New Orleans Saints

Why are people counting us out against the Saints. We are underdogs by six and a half points when we are 3-0. I think that having a great offense today is more tempting to the public. If our secondary is healthy, their offense would not produce nearly as much as they would of the first three weeks.
Another solution that would nearly guarantee a victory would be to have a dynamic run game. Thomas Jones an Leon Washington have to have big days having at least four yards a carry. Keeping the clock running, getting first downs, scoring touchdowns, and keeping Drew Brees off the field would make Week 4 less of a challenge. The one thin that can raise some concerns is the the Jets offensive line. Last week against the Titans, the Jets offensive line had no push except for a few plays here and there. It seemed that Jones and Washington were tackled either behind the line, at the line, or 1 to 2 yard gains. It was extremely frusturating watching this team struggle with their gameplan. That is never a good sign especially when we face the ex-Jet Jonathan Vilma with a sure chip on his shoulder to do some damage to his fomer team.
