Texting Blazers scores
in the post-game comment section, prezofdeth said it would be cool to get text messages about blazers games. in case he was actually serious (doubtful), you can actually do this on espn.com through their alert services. go to espn.com and register (free). obviously you'll need to provide your cellphone number to receive texts, but there is no cost for the text updates. once you are registered, go to member services and click on "espn alert manager." you can then find the blazers and register for either final or quarterly updates. you will receive a text that shows the score and the points/rebounds/assists for the leading performer on each team. i highly recommend signing up, it's a lifeline when you're away from the computer and need those blazers scores!
Ball Don't Lie season preview!
This is the preview I've been waiting for. I think J.E. Skeets is one of the best basketball writers out there, and between he and Kelly Dwyer they run a tight ship at BDL.
He predicts a 44-38 record and offers some reasonable predictions for the season. It actually sounds like he watched some Blazers games last season, unlike numerous national sports writers.
Again, I highly recommend you read BDL on a regular basis. Sign up for the RSS feed, it's worth the read every time.
Early 90's Blazers clips
ESPN posted clips of the early 90's Blazers to honor the late Kevin Duckworth.
