National Post's Power Rankings
It looks as if the National Post is finally taking notice of Mike Ribeiros prowess in the offensive zone; though strangely no mention of his defensive skills or lack thereof. Oh well I'll take what they can give us. 12th spot. Does anyone else get the feeling the Stars are basically in a highwire act and the slightest breeze in the winds of change will send this team plummeting to the asphalt?

Guy Carbonneau loses first game in new coaching gig.
Follow this link here to see what Carbo's been up to in the QMJHL. He's got a long road ahead of him as he's coaching one of the worst teams in the league while playing against both Quebec and U.S. teams. I lived in Chicoutimi last year and attended around 7 Sagueneen games. The talent was there but they just couldn't string together more than 2 wins (sound familiar?). Anyways, here's a recap of the game if you're interested to see what the best defensive and clutch playoff forward of all time is up to these days.

It'll also be cool to see him coach against the Quebec rampars with is old team mate Patrick Roy behind the bench.
So much for any Dallas Star All Stars
And Khabibulin on the ballot, really?
Every game at the Air Canada Center a letdown, not just last night.
So I decide to go to the game last night mostly because it's the only time the Stars are in town and I'm not driving from Toronto to Ottawa just to see them put on a performance like yesterday's. Getting tickets in Toronto isn't the easiest thing to do so you pretty much have to either a) go on kijiji/ craigslist or some other media or b) go to a scalper. Now tickets are expensive enough as it is ($35 to $600 depending on time of year and game) but you can sometimes pay $150 for $50 300 level tickets from these guys. I was lucky and only paid $80 for a $55 face value. I paid too much and here's why:
