Im going to Arizona to catch some spring training baseball for the 1st time (March 22-25th). I want this post to contain great info for those of us who are going to Arizona for the first time and possibly help those who go out every year find some awesome new things to do or great new deals. Feel free to post the most economical ways to go about this as well as the best experience possible.

I myself am looking for a good but inexpensive trip, but someone might have a deep wallet and looking for a luxurious trip so feel free to share anything from hotels, to restaurants, to fun things to do after the game and great hangout spots for the night life.

I think weve done this a couple times so if anyone can find helpful links please feel free to post as well.

So Morales came into the game with 33RBI's looking to become the Angels Leader for the Most RBI's in a single month which is held by 2 players. So Morales Goes 3-4 with a chance to bat for the 5th time in the 9th inning. The table is set for Morales to make History with Hunter, Guerrero, Rivera bating in front of him to set the table and watch history unfold. But then Scioscias SMART ASS puts Rob(I Suck Really bad) Quinlan in for HUNTER?!?! Jeff (My sister hits better than me) Mathis for Vladdy which leaves Rivera with all the pressure of getting on base for Morales' BIG MOMENT but he crumbles under the pressure and grounds out. Seriously Scioscia I love you but FUCK YOU (Aug. F Bomb)...that was a NO NO.
What Scioscia did tonight would be the same as Pulling John Lackey from the game in the 4th inning with 2 out so that he would not get his 100th win. Then Doing it over and over for the rest of the season letting him pitch only 4 2/3 so that he would not qualify for the win. Oh and Frakin Vlad and Rivera were being RBI hogs today to.....what the hell was their problem. And Rivera is freakin slow I would have scored on that double that Morales hit. Lastly my dumb ass jinxed it when Rivera came to the plate I said, "Please Rivera Strike out.........I bet he's gonna hit a HR to shut me up!"

Nick Adenhart was a STAR waiting to Shine, and now he is taken from us in a tragic accident. I was a huge fan of this kid, going to his MLB debut and to his last start of his career. I pray to God to bring comfort to his Family, Friends, Team Members, and Fans. I cannot find words to explain how I feel but I wanted to share this with all of you, in hope of helping anyone cope with this tragic ending to the life of Nick Adenhart 22.

I’m getting tired of everyone bitching about Morales not being able to get the job done at 1B, without seeing him get consistent playing time in the MLB. Do YOU know who Kendry Morales is? Do YOU know how good he is? Do YOU know his work ethic? Do YOU know if he is better than Casey Kotchman? The Answer is NO!!!!

No one knows how good he is going to be or if he is better than Kotchman or Teixiera. So why don’t we use some logic. There is a guy that had the title of Director of Player Development. Legend has it that he produced 15 Division Titles, 3 League Titles, and 18 playoff births in 5 years. He oversaw our up and coming players, swing by swing, hit by hit, stride by stride, and most importantly learned their strengths and weaknesses. If there is anyone that can answer the questions of…. Why Was Kotchman Traded? Why was Tex not signed? Why are we handing the starting 1B job to Kendry Morales? The name of that man is TONY REAGINS.

Tony Reagins oversaw both Kotchman and Morales. Tony Reagins traded Casey Kotchman. Tony Reagins said MORALES IS READY. Why do you suppose he did that? I don’t know, but if I had to take a wild guess I would have to say, "Because Morales IS BETTER than Casey Kotchman."

Put it this way, if you had 2 cars for 5 years that both were in excellent condition and your wife (or hubby) told you, YOU HAD to get rid of one, which one would it be? Obviously you would keep the best one and give up the other one even though it was also good and you were attached to it. That’s the same kind of decision Tony Reagins had to make, Morales or Kotchman, and I will stand by his decision because he knows those players better than anyone of us. No disrespect to Kotchman, he is an AWESOME player and I would have liked to have them both on our team but that was not possible. Put KENDRY MORALES at 1st Base, Now LETS GO WIN!!!!!!!!!!

Mlb reports that "In a stunning reversal, the Red Sox have taken themselves out of the Mark Teixeira sweepstakes."

"We met with Mr. Teixeira and were very much impressed with him. After hearing about his other offers, however, it seems clear that we are not going to be a factor."

I dont know what to think......Rev just told everyone that TEX IS A RED SUK, and now MLB tells me that Boston is OUT. I dont want the Angels to Overpay for Tex, but then again he is a VERY GOOD PLAYER. Its a risk to sign him for a LONG contract with Alot of money but then again, he might stay healthy and produce through the whole contract. Is the team that took the Red Sux out the Angels, Yanks, the O's, the Nats, or the M's lol?

With the Ninja all has changed, BUT let us pretend that Stoneman is back and that the Angels are not making a move WHAT SO EVER. With the players on the 40 man Roster come up with your STARTING LINEUP (and explain why you made the choices you did).

Next make the Starting Rotation and the Bullpen in the order with the closer, setup, and 4 other relief pitchers in rank from who you think is better.

Someone posted here in June that Dayan Viciedo had defected from Cuba. He was playing on the Cuban National team since he was 14 and Alexi Ramirez says he is going to be a major league talent. They played together in Cuba so I trust Ramirez is right. He is now a FREE AGENT and teams are sending scouts to watch him work out in the Dominican Republic. His Agent wants to get him signed within the next week.

I think the Angels should sign him, Move Figgins to LF, and put Brandon Wood at SS. Keep Tex as well and DH/RF Morales.

Just in, Tex, Garland, AND Anderson filed for Free Agency and are going to EXPLORE the free agent Market.

So to all you Teixeira LOVERS, he just pissed on you okay that was a little harsh, by not even giving the Angels a chance to sign him, he wants to hear from other teams and as most expected he will probably end up with the Yankees since he Obviously wants THE MOST MONEY POSSIBLE. I like Tex dont get me wrong but I have a feeling he is gone and I have been waiting since 05 to watch Morales Play FULL TIME.

If he wins, He will be the First Mexican to EVER win a title in that Weight Class. He is fighting Lucian Bute (22-0,18 KO's) of Canada, and they will be airing the fight on SHOWTIME (*SHOBOX The New Generation* SHO2e). Okay now to baseball the Rays along with the Roylas are teams that I have followed for a while (Im a tampa bay Buccs fan do to a blitz game i had on playstation in '90s). Well If the Rays win the world series it will be something special for their fans and for the franchise as well as us Angels fans because Joe was with us for a LONG time (30 some odd years) and because they kicked the Red Sux out of the playoffs, so that gets another monkey off of our back (The team that we lose to in the playoffs has won the World Series since '04) so im feeling good on our chances next season.

My cousin Enrique Ornelas is fighting in a Middle Weight Elimination fight on the undercard for Kelly Pavlik vs Bernard Hopkins.

Enrique (#6 in the World) will be fighting Marco A. Rubio (#16 in the World). This fight should be a brawl and I hope Enrique comes out on top. They are both going to be on their A-Games because they both want a shot at the title.

The fight should be starting towards the end of the Rays game and the last 3 fights should all be fun to watch.

John Mugatu is his name, and being a DUMB ASS is his game. These are just a few things that he has said on his "Sport Hubris."

First he chose the Mariners (91-71) over the Angles (90-72) to win the AL West. Then he goes on to say, "They (The Angels) are putting their faith in a healthy season from their whole team, which isn’t going to happen. And this team is least prepared to deal with it. At least they won’t have to get swept out of the playoffs by the Sox AGAIN this year."

The AL West has long been in the grasp of the Angels and while the Rangers and A's have made some noise, the true test will be to see if the Angels can secure home field advantage throughout the playoffs and maximize their use of that stupid monkey.

Who the Fuck does he think he is calling OUR monkey STUPID? I would have loved to see his face when the Angels swept his Stupid ass 2nd place team and ended up going 8-1 against them this year.

As Rev Pointed out, Wood calls himself Brandon not Richard because he does not want to be called "Dick Wood" like alot of people have been calling him on this blog (Ive done it a couple times.)

So if he does not like being called Richard we should respect him and not use that name. He is BRANDON WOOD! BUT all players have nick names and Wood needs one.

I looked around and came up with SHERIFF WOODY. He will one day be the face of this franchise (I HOPE) so he needs a name strong nick name Big Daddy Vladdy hence the name SHERIFF WOODY.

Mike Scioscia and Arturo Moreno might be foreshadowing the future of Kendry Morales.

"Morales, a star of the Cuban national team before signing with the Angels, could be the answer at first base. That was the suggestion of owner Arte Moreno and manager Mike Scioscia, two reliable sources."

I think Morales with every day playing time in the BIGS can duplicate what he did in AAA. Morales batted .341 with 15 homers and 64 RBIs in 78 games at Salt Lake. If you project it to 162 games he would hit .341 with 130 RBI and 31 HR.

It seems we are going to have to win with Johnny Rivers and without Kendry Morales.

I sent an email to a friend that works for the Bees and he gave me an inside scoop on Morales' Injury and here it is...

I talked with Tony Reagins earlier this week and it does not appear that he will be ready for another 3-4 weeks at the earliest. He is currently at the Angels' training complex in Tempe getting treatment and rehabbing that right oblique muscle strain.

That is BAD news with this piece of shit offence that has been showing up the last couple games. At least he'll be here to help us in the Dog Days.

Go ANGELS, dont fear Rivera is here....lets hope Scioscia doesnt forget he's here.

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim named Kendry Morales the 2008 Player of the Month in MAY. He hit .352 with 6 Doubles, 6 Homers and 17 RBI in ONLY 21 GAMES!!!!!

Kevin Jespen was named pitcher of the Month down in AA owning a 1-1 Record with a 0.63 ERA in MAY. In 25 games with the Traves this year he has a 2-1 record with a 1.42 ERA amd was promoted to AAA on June 10th.

Kendry Morales Stats Batting .324 in 45 games (188 AB) with 10 doubles 8 HRs and 37 RBIs. He is slugging .505 with an OBP of .365 and OPS of .870

Casey Kotchman Stats Batting .313 in 57 games (211 AB) with 12 doubles 6 HRs and 30 RBIs. He is slugging .455 with an OBP of .361 and OPS of .816

Kendry Morales .390 BA / 16 Hits / 2 Doubles / 2 HR / 5 RBI / 2 BB / 4 SO / 5 Runs (HAS a 9 game hit streak and counting....)

Morales beats Kotch in everything except Doubles.....I wish Scioscia would give K-Mo the starting DH role so we can watch him replicate those numbers in the BIGS. You might say that Kotch is doing better because his numbers are against Big League pitching and I agree. But Morales is Heating up (.390 BA) and I know he can pull out these numbers in the bigs like we all saw him do last year. He just needs consistant ABs and he can carry this team along with Kotch and HK47.

Hank Conger is back and he playing for Rancho Cuca-changa. In his first 5 games he has 2 Doubles and 1 HR. This Kid is going to be Something BIG in the Majors, I just hope he can stay healthy so we can see what hes got and so he can work his way up to AAA in a hurry.
