"The first I'd like to say is that, for you people that are from here, you may be looking at the national champions. Coach Pitino has assembled a group of guys that can go at least 10 or 11 deep and not miss a beat. I was reading his book last week and he said you've got to be positive, and with a team like that, it's easy to be positive." Jaguars Coach Ronnie Arrow had to say after facing the Cards.

If T-Will decides to go pro also, then our situation probably won't be so hot next season. Samardo is coming in, so is Terrence Jennings. I expect them to start now. Is George Goode going to convert to PF? If Clarence Holloway can play, then we'll have some depth there. If not then we'll only have two true post players and they'll both be freshman (albeit very good freshman). Andre will be the only remaining player from that recruiting class, Sosa will be there as well. Jerry and Preston at SG (Will Scott too if you count him). Swopshire and Goode at SF, maybe Melquan Bolding if he signs. Then Samardo and Terrance down low....I dont know, it doesnt look good to me right now. Makes me wish Rick had kept going after Tyreke. What do you guys think?

Rakeem Buckles, a 6'8 PF from Miami has commited to the Cards. He is a 4 star on scout and a 3 star on rivals, and apparently has a ton of upside, but how many times have we heard that before? Haven't found any videos on him so I can't tell you much else. Pitino offered him a scholarship though so he must see something in him. Go Cards!

Scotty Hopson

It's looking more and more like Tyreke Evans is headed to Memphis, as I've heard he will announce his decision after the Memphis/Tennessee game this weekend. So Scotty Hopson is a 6'5 Guard for Hopkinsville, KY, and he has UofL, Cincy, and Miss St. at the top of his list. Assuming Tyreke goes to Memphis, what are the chances of us landing Scotty? I believe we have a good shot, and I think he fits our system much better than 'Reke.

Pitino Reacts to Knight Resignation

Okay, so there is a video on ESPN, on the cardinal fan page, of Pitino talking about Bobby Knight retiring. In the video, Pitino states that there is no way he could coach for as long as Knight, and that was into his late 60's. Pitino is 55 now...so assuming he stays at UofL for the remainder, how many years do you think we'll have left with him?

Peanut Whitehead out for career

Peanut Whitehead injury puts him out for career. I have inside sources on the team that say Peanut Whitehead was told he cannot play football ever again. Peanut went out of the WVU game this Thursday and did not return. He has an injury that would put him at a severe health risk if he played again. I am 90% sure this information is true, however I may be getting my leg pulled. Information should be released by the team on his injury shortly and we'll all find out.
