Blazers looking to blow up their roster?
You think we have roster problems? Things are looking messy up north according to this article. Pick up the phone Petrie!!!
Wolves offer Beasley to LA for a first round pick?
Not advocating for Beasley or anything...Red Flags! He does fill a need of a scoring 3/4. This just struck me as the type of potential deals floating around the league. The Kings could easily offer something better than the proposed deal. In Geoff We Trust.
Wilson Chandler plans to resign with Denver.
I know a lot of us have eyes for Chandler once he returns from China, but he has every intention to return to Denver. He is restricted, but I wouldn't mind the Kings making a generous offer.
Batum To Test Free Agent Market
Since no extension could be agreed upon, Batum is likely to walk at the end of the season from Portland. This could definitely make him a tradable asset. Pick up the phone Petrie!
ESPN's fantasy spin on the Cousins/Westphal ordeal
Scroll down to read the fantasy spin. ESPN seems just as critical of PW as of Cousins.
Phil Jackson dislikes Kings-to-Anaheim
Sorry you have to view/read it at ESPN Los Angeles. Ignore the video.
Bibby involved in 5 player trade
Gotta feel a little bit for Mike. To go from a playoff contender to the bench behind a rookie on lottery team.

No word on DMC's technical during the same play.
Lakers Rant!
I know...I know...I shouldn't even bring up the Lakers in this forum, let alone in the the headline but I do have a gripe to vent and my wife is unwilling to understand, let alone listen. As I am watching the Lakers game (er...the Suns game) on tv tonight I can't help but think, man....the Lakers are playing at home again. Again, I know...I know...every team plays the same amount of home and away games, but their schedule seems a bit absurd. Of their first 21 games only 4 are on the road!!! Talk about an incredible head start to begin the season! I always hold the belief that the first month of the season is critical to setting a tone for the remainder of the season. Therefore, I consider the Lakers schedule an unfair advantage on their behalf. I guess the real reason why it stings so much is the fact that the Kings have started, what seems like, every season in memory on a road trip. Does anyone else find this a little hard to swallow??
Another BIG possibility
With all the talk of a needed BIG to back up Hawes and the total lack of want for Beno with the addition of Tyreke and Sergio, I thought I would toss out another wannabe GM trade scenario. Currently, Charlotte has 4 centers on their roster...Chandler, Diop, Mohammad, and Ajinca...clearly more than playing time will allow. My amateur idea is to trade Beno for Diop (a serviceable shot blocking, rebounding big with little offensive skill). They have virtually identical contracts...which really doesn't dissolve Beno's cash commitment. Not sure if Charlotte would want Beno, but they are going to have a hard time keeping both Felton and Augustin happy, therefore Beno could be their backup if they were to let go of one of those young talents. Again, I'm just throwing this out there for conversion during the doldrums of August. This is my first post, by the way, so be kind :)
