Tim Hightower is "baaaaaaaack"

Nice to see Timmy back on this mother's day. He tells us through twitter and gives our backfield the veteran presence with the young guys like Helu and Royster, in fact Evan even welcomed Tim back through twitter.

Who Ya Got?

I realize that it's early and the NBA season is in full swing. But with this Wizards team... it's never to early to start draft conversation! Assuming the Wizards don't go on an amazing run and...

Washington Redskins Key additions: Barry Cofield, Santana Moss, Josh Wilson, Stephen Bowen, Chris Chester, Jammal Brown (re-signed), Jabar Gaffney, Tim Hightower, Donte' Stallworth, Kellen Clemens Key losses: Albert Haynesworth, Donovan McNabb, Carlos Rogers, Casey Rabach, Maake Kemoeatu, Phillip Daniels, Jeremy Jarmon, Vonnie Holliday Analysis: I wrote on Twitter that if I were in charge of rebuilding the Redskins, I would have attacked the defense and put a few bandages on the offense -- making that next year's project and allowing coach Mike Shanahan to see what he could get from below-average offensive personnel. That is exactly what Washington did. Rebuilding this team is a huge project, and it couldn't all be done in one offseason. Defensively, a key for the Redskins with the Cofield signing is Anthony Bryant, the big body needed for early downs at nose tackle who was quite impressive to finish the 2010 season. If that progression continues, Cofield can be used in many effective ways. If not, I don't expect him to be able to handle the pounding on the nose, which really isn't what he is equipped for. Bowen is young and was extremely impressive for the Cowboys in limited snaps. Wilson isn't a well-known corner, but he excelled in Baltimore last season. It also can't be overlooked that Washington signed O.J. Atogwe before the lockout began. Atogwe is a terrific complement to LaRon Landry and should allow the Redskins' strong safety to really roam and make even more plays going forward. This secondary is much-improved. Although I commend what Washington did on defense, I still don't fully understand why it needed to add so many new running backs and wide receivers with hopes that just a few of them step up. Outside of bringing back Moss, the wideouts and running backs are a jumbled mess. That situation needs to be sorted out. Grade: B

Redskins and Barry Cofield Agree To Deal

In the end, Jason La Canfora was right, the Redskins did want Barry Cofield.  It was well-documented that the Giants didn't want to give Cofield his asking price and that always leads to... the...

On Booker being threatened and how he is playing now: "We had a sit-down, about two months ago and I said, 'Your greatest strength is that you play hard. If you're not going to play hard, we're going to send you up to North Dakota, so you can get some time up there," head coach Flip Saunders told The Washington Post. "I said, because I know what you do, if you play hard, you can be a very effective player in this league. From that time forward, he's played hard every time."

Who should the Wiz draft?

via www.slamonline.com I was talking to a friend about who we should draft with our lottery pick.  First, we can already rule out Kyrie Irving, well... for obvious reasons.  Then I thought of...

Good Bye Al

Al Thornton has been bought out. It's good for him because he's gotten buried on the bench. I'll miss him and that one NASTY dunk on ZaZa!

Kris Jenkins?

Jets are going to release him so maybe the Skins will want to take a look at him for NT.

Orakpo to Pro Bowl!

If Bears win Fletcher goes along with him. I'm conflicted, I like the Packers, but I want London in the Pro Bowl. Anyways, congrats to oSackpo!
