Trufant activated and will play on Sunday in Dallas

Trufant will play Sunday, but coach Jim Mora said after practice that the coaches still are discussing what Trufant’s role will be. Earlier this week, Mora said he anticipated Trufant playing only in the nickel because he has been sidelined since the week training camp opened with a lower back issue.

After months of holding out, wide receiver Michael Crabtree has agreed to a contract with the San Francisco 49ers, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Crabtree will get a six-year deal that he can void to five years if he meets undefined performance clauses, a league source told ESPN's Michael Smith.
