So around 3 in the morning, while still hyped up on the Hawks winning the Cup, I sent a random twitter response to a friend saying that if someone else drove, I'd go to O'Hare to welcome the Hawks back. 

10 seconds later, my phone rings and my friend tells me to be outside in 20 minutes. 

4 hours later, I return home with a dead camera battery, copies of the day's newspaper, and the realization that what happened last night had to be real, because I had touched the Cup.

Because watching games is always more fun with friends, and Game 4 is set aside as a SCH/CI roadwatch at Bottom Lounge by the alcoholics, I am suggesting a Game 3 road watch at Tap House Grill in Glen Ellyn. 

I've been there before with puppet, krome, and HawkyGuy and can attest that there's plenty of TVs, good drinks (Woodchuck on tap! Shut up, I like it.) and good food. 

Located at 411 North Main Street in Glen Ellyn, there's supposed to be lots of free parking. From krome's last fanpost: parking locations are across the street - in the public parking lot which extends entirely through the block to the large church lot. The church lot is fair game too (but don't park in the shoe store lot)

It's right off the Glen Ellyn Metra stop, if someone wants to take the train in, as well. 

So who's interested? I'm thinking I'll try to get there around 6/615ish, to make sure we get a table. I'll also bring my panda hat, so people can find me.

So, being asian, I am genetically obligated to take photos of everything everywhere I go. 

As such, I've taken a bunch of random photographs from some of the meet-ups I have attended. Since I am lazy, I'm going to simply post them and let you all have fun with the captions. I will update the fanpost with whatever captions you guys come up with. Otherwise, you're stuck with my half-hearted attempts.

Hockey! Leather recliners! Lots of televisions! $5 martinis! Short girls!...wait, what?

So the current record of when Puppet & I go to Westwood Tavern for Wednesday games currently stands at  4-0. We're looking to go 5-0 this upcoming Wednesday, for the game against the Blues. 

Also, this will be Puppet's last game for while, because she's leaving for Guatemala in order to become a better person/more employable or something like that. Since I have no such ambitions, I'm just pissed because I'm losing my current hockey & drinking buddy right in times for the playoffs (jerk!) so now I need to make new friends. 

Come join us at Westwood; it's in Schaumburg located at 1385 N Meacham Rd (near the Costco). It's a pretty nice place to watch games; lots of TVs, leather recliners on the 2nd floor, and their downstair booths actually have taps attached so you can pour yourself as much beer as you want. I prefer the leather recliners, but if people want to meet up and sit in one of those booths, I'll be alright with that. The food is pretty good as well.

So...anyone interested? I'll be there around 630pm (an hour before the game starts) and will be the asian one in the Hossa jersey.
