I remeber when it was $1.75 to get a bleacher seat.
I also remember picking up beer cups in the grandstands in order to get a ticket for the next day.
I spent many an opening day eve camped out in a sleeping bag on Waveland waiting for the gates to open to catch stellar performances by the likes of Rick Reuschel, Bill Madlock, Bill Buckner, Bob Dernier, Jose Cardenal, J.C. Martin , and Ted Abernathy.
I once got yelled at by Leo the lip for deflecting a would be Don Kessinger home run by reaching out over the basket in the left field bleachers back around 1971.
