My name is Al. Been a Cubs fan as long as I can remember. I am a computer geek, and a bit of a stat geek, but I'll always admit the limitations of computers and stats when it comes to baseball.

Let's keep it classy, 'eh?
While I was biking to the library after work today I saw three guys in Cubs gear (one was wearing a Fukudome jersey and one a Prior jersey) walking down the street (I think it was Madison, crossing Wells -- likely fans on their way to the Red Line from Ogilvie). As they crossed the street they passed a woman walking the other direction. It looked from across the street like they were trying to get her to high-five them, and she just walked by uncomfortably... maybe she said something, I couldn't have heard... and then they turned and yelled after her something like, "Go to Hell!" or "I hope you die!" I'm sure it wasn't any of you guys... but... it looked pretty tasteless from where I stood. Maybe you're not aware, but a lot of people, especially women, will feel threatened by loud, aggressive people approaching them. And the whole city isn't Wrigleyville -- people in the loop in the evening are mostly not in game-time party mode.
