One thing I've always loved about my fellow Sox fans is that we are true baseball fans. We love our guys - on rare occasion we night overate a player - but we also appreciate the other players.

To that end we must work together and VOTE AGAINST PEDROIA AND VARITEK. Even Papi really won't deserve it come game time. And while Youk deserves to go, he may not be as deserving a starter as Mourneau.

When Dusty first appeared at the top of the leader board, he absolutely deserved to be there. But with his awful slump (and we've all be too kind in not talking more about his late-inning defense), he has fallen far below Kinsler.

Varitek meanwhile is having a Varitek season, and while there is no great alternative, Mauer is certainly more deserving.

What's so wrong about Pedroia and Tek sliding in on Sox fan support, especially after the years of Yankees going in with sub par numbers? Because it seriously jeopardizes the chances of other deserving guys, like Drew and Papelbon. If we get five elected starters there's no way Tito can pull in more deserving guys like Drew, Ellsbury, Paps, Dice-K or Lowell, unless he wants to draw the ire that Joe Torre used to earn with his absolutely Yankee-centric selections.

I love Pedroia and Tek. And since I love them I don't want them getting the kind of angry fan response we've given so many other undeserving all-stars. So please, VOTE AGAINST PEDROIA AND VARITEK.
