Man the Angels got a deal with this guy do you wish we would have worked a similar deal out with him? I mean it would have been nice to have another bat to DH with on nights A-Rod needs his beauty sleep. Sorry for that cheap shot A-Rod.  But then part of me says I am glad he is gone and the only reason he is doing so well is because he does not have that pressure of playing in New York. I mean really some players just can't peform that well with the Yankees. They are not like Derek Jeter.  Tell me what you think I am intrested in knowing. I mean Abreu played well when he was with the Philles and when the Yankees were winning he did ok but it seemed like when we needed him the most forget about it! But hey we can say the same thing for some other Yankees as well.

This is Johnny Damon's last year of his contract and I was wondering what everyone thinks about bringing him back? I would like to see Johnny back in pinstripes next year. Yes his arm may be getting weak and we do have Austin Jackson making some strides but Johnny has a really great bat and is a veteran that can provide great leadership for the younger players. I mean Johnny can DH for us and still play the outfield for us.

I know this is not related to the Giants but I was just thinking about this.  Jon Gruden gets fired the other day and he has won a Super Bowl in Tampa Bay recently. Then we look at the situation with the Bengals.  Marvin Lewis has had limited success with them since he took over as their coach.  He still has a job. Then lets look at the Bills after starting off hot they fizzled and missed the playoffs but Dick Jauron gets fired. Then take a look at Kansas City Herm Edwards did really did nothing with the Jets and has not done anything with K.C. so why does he still have a job?  Gary Kubiak still has not done anything with the Texans and he still has job.  I don't understand it.  The following Coaches are out of jobs who actually have won games and the others who have done nothing still have jobs

What gives doesn't winning mean anything anymore?

Hey I am a Giants Fan and I hope you guys kick the crap out of the Eagles this weekend!  I hope you guys win the Super Bowl Good Luck and best wishes from a disappointed Giants Fan! I hate McNabb and Andy Reid.  I know you guys can pull it off and I am sure you everyone who is a Giant fan cheering for the Cardnails.  To gve you an idea of the hate towards the Eagles it is compareable to Yankee Fans and Redsox Fans.  So come on win the NFC then win the Super Bowl don't let this Giant fan have to cheer for the AFC in the Super Bowl

I do blame the loss of #17 Plax for losing against the Eagles.  I mean come on ever since he was suspended we did not look the same. I don't think he will be back I think he is going to go to jail for a long time. New York is strict on gun charges and if he does go to jail the only positve thing about that is we get a whole lot of cap space. I know the perfect WR to sign to replace him.  TJ Houshmanzadeh, he does have the big mouth like Plax, T.O. , or Ocho Cinco but he does have the talent they have. i know he did not make a big splash this year with the Bengals but Carson Palmer was hurt most of the season. Eli missed Plax and it showed Hixon is in no way as talented as Plax and it is silly to even think he can replace him.  I would love to be able to resign Ward, Toomer and bring in Houshmanzadeh.  I think this would really give us a good chance at another Super Bowl Championship. But I am intrested to here what everyone else thinks.

Ok, as well know the Yankees will not be playing in October this usally means that I will not be watching postseason baseball I hate watching it when the Yankees are not playing.  Also some Yankee fans may have been rooting for the Mets to represent New York (Not I) I hate the Mets.  But we do have a intresting group of clubs playing here at least on the National League side anyway.  I want one of the National League Teams to win it all actually.  Personally I would love to see the Cubs take on the White Sox( it they get in) and the Cubs win it all.  I dont want to see the Red Sox in the series at all.  Another intresting world series for me would be the Rays and the Breweres.  Neither team has won a World Championship so this would be neat to see.  I almost want the Dodgers to win just because of Joe Torre and yes I am suprised the Yank's did not invite him or Donnie Baseball to the final game at Yankee stadium.  So let me know who you would like to see if the Series and who you want to win it all. 

See I told everyone at the end of the season last year that once Joe was gone things were not going to be the same and for the first time in 13 straight years Yankee Stadium will be not be hosting a playoff game.  This is sad but you look across the country and Joe Torre is about to make his 14th straight playoff appearance.  We are not just missing the playoffs of making the Wild Card we have fallen behind 3 Teams in the East the Rays ( Who expected that!) The Red Sox (I hate them more than anything in this world) and the Blue Jays (WTF!)  I am just waiting for the Orioles to catch up.  Look I hope we turn things around for next year and I guess I will begin to watch football early this year and hope for the Giants to give me something to smile about.  I know the Knicks won't ! This season is one to forget for sure.

Has anyone heard the rumor that Manny wants to be a Yankee in 09?  I would love for this to happen maybe he can even bring Ortiz over.  There is nothing I love more than bringing Red Sox players to the Evil Empire and then having them wip the crap out of the Sox.  Do you think this would be a good opiton? I would love to see Manny going to Boston and hitting the crap out of a ball in a Yankee uniform.  But that is next year I really hope we pull our heads out of our butts and make the playoffs this year.  Also is anyone have any feeling on Cashman?
