Casual Hoya One on One about Jabril Trawick with Paul Gripper, President of Team Phenom.

Excerpt of interview with Paul Gripper about Jabril Trawick:

"Jabril quite possibly may be the most aggressive kid the Hoyas have had. He is a guard version of the legendary Hoya Monster, Michael Graham. Jabril is mean, nasty, athletic and vicious on the court. While, nice, quiet and respectful off the court." - Paul Gripper

A Closer Look at Jabril Trawick with Paul Gripper

Maybe a little bias (why not) but some very good things said about Jabril.

Casual Hoya Sitting Down With Tony Parker (2012)

Engaging kid. I think Coach Kirby has done a good job putting us in position. (note, the two had not been in contact when Kirby was at MSU)

Casual Hoya Some Thoughts on Henry Sims

Something I've been wanting to do for a while..On the potential he once held and might still possess and his role on this team ..

Henry Sims, The Floor Is Yours

Does anyone think Henry could even get off the bench this year? I'm not sure we have much evidence to believe that can happen. I'm just hoping and still optimistic that he rediscovers what he once had before his time up.

Casual Hoya Sam Thompson Set to Visit, Myles Davis Still Lists Hoyas

Sam Thompson, a 6'6'' wing out of Chicago, said he plans to visit Georgetown the weekend of September 18th.  He also states that Georgetown has now officially offered a scholarship.

There was some confusion as to whether George Mason or Georgetown was the school on Myles Davis' final list, turns out, it's both.  They join UVA, Pitt, Villanova and St. Joe's. Still is unclear whether or not he will stay in the 2011 class or reclassify to 2012.

Casual Hoya Mikael Hopkins to Announce on November 1st

DeMathaHoops    Mikael Hopkins will announce his College decision on Monday, November 1st.

Ron over at HoyaReport seems to think we have a decent shot with the Class of 2011 big man. Visited unofficially this past week. Biggest concern would be that Kansas makes a push for him.

People have questioned his toughness or assertiveness, but the kid is very skilled and has a solid frame. I wouldn't mind having him..in particular if it helps with Robinson and Grant from Dematha the following year.

Casual Hoya Needed Impact Freshmen

Nate Lubick:

Nate Lubick, Georgetown- The big man from Massachusetts could find himself in the starting lineup from Day 1. Greg Monroe leaves a big void to fill and Lubick is the most logical big man to slide in to the starting role. His development is key as Georgetown does return all other 8 scholarship players from last season's team. Lubick brings rebounding and an ability to finish at the rim, both assets that the Hoyas have been missing.

Casual Hoya Georgetown Leads for 2013 Big Man

Yeah, I know.. not 2011.

Big fella by the name of Kennedy Meeks from Charlotte. 6'8 250lb.

"Man, that’s the best college on my list right now, I’ll tell you man. That’s the only school on my list that really produces big men, and the coaches help you with your school work and all. My mom likes Georgetown, too."

Kennedy Meeks Interview - Cutting Down Nets

Hopefully we hear the same soon from Robertson, Chol, Hopkins, Or-Anyone-Over-6'7.
