GATOR FAN HERE w/ Pouncey Praise
For those of you who remember me, know me as someone who furiously defends the Florida Gators on here because of you Miami Canes fans. But since I am in a unique position, I will tell you all why this pick is excellent.

Matty, please take down the pic of Kolb
On the front page. I feel as if it is an embarrassment to our page. Our franchise is not in the position in which we need to be linked to AJ Feely, I mean Kevin corn on the Kolb. Dude is vastly overrated, and if we really are going after a QB this offseason, he can not be the guy. We can not go down that road. Delete this post if you wish, but please reconsider keeping up that picture. I understand you work very hard for us, but honestly, this picture just rubs me the wrong way. Thank you for taking the time to read this and consider, at the very least.

Black and Yellow. Black and Yellow.
Why so Sensitive?
Yes, I get it, all these "its okay to boo" and "real fans don't boo" fan posts are getting pretty redundant. But I just wanted my opinion to be heard. So this is a spoiler alert, if you don't want to read my opinion on booing our players, please stop reading and enjoy your Christmas morning.

Juck the Fets
I'm sure you'll take this down matty, as it has no substance. But, lets go dolphins. Feels good to get this win. Havent had many reasons to celebrate this season. Juck the Fets.
GO DOLPHINS.
7-4
I hate the ref from the pittsburgh game. I have the NFL package at my house, and every time I flip to a game and I recognize that SOB it gets me thinking how relevant we would be, sporting a 7-4 record. 2 games behind the "mighty" Jets and Pats, controlling our own destiny as we play them both again, with an easier sched upcoming than we have faced thus far. I know this gripe gets me or us nowhere, and only brings up frustration. But for all of you up in arms about our season; we have played the best teams in the NFL and would have a 7-4 record and be very much in the playoff race. 6-5 isn't shabby, but damn would 7-4 look nice right now. Damn that man. I mean really, the one yard line? Its a touchdown or a touchback.
Henne Game Ball?!?!
Before you read this, let me preface by saying I love Henne, and have no desire to bench him in favor of our other QBs, and I still believe the kid has promise. But I don't appreciate him being rewarded a game ball in Mousl's front page article about the game last night.
Henne killed us. He made countless bad decisions including targeting Marshall only once in the first half. Yes, I know he was double covered, but thats why we got the beast. Look at the Lions, who throw the ball up to Calvin who is always doubled, he seems to come down with it. The guy can get open, instead of fearing the double team, attack it. I get that since he's doubled you look elsewhere, ie., the running game and Hartline and Bess, but when you have to force throws into them, instead, throw to the guy we brought in for this exact reason. Thats just my first point.
Henne killed long drives we had going. Yes, I understand he short armed some throws that were picked, namely his second one, but a pro QB just can’t ruin long drives like that, throw that ball where either your receiver or no one can get it. It felt like to me, that he was taking too long to make a decision, but when he acted quickly he couldn't read the defense, which is a sign he needs more game time practice, which is not something we were expecting out of him, but like Matty said, growing pains. I get that Henne is still young, and will go through growing pains, but shouldn’t the same thing be said about Mark Sanchez. To my recollection, he tore this Defense apart. I know we have a better offense than the Jets, but actually, maybe I don’t.
Henne loves Hartline way to much. Not quite sure when this was, but on a roll out to the right Marshall was wide open on a slant, Henne didn’t glance at him once, not even for a second to move the safety, then threw into triple coverage for Hartline. Again, he didn’t have to throw to Marshall, but at least throw it away. Hartline is a solid player, but locking in on him is not the answer. That really was just one play, and I liked him incorporating Bess into the game more, but Hartline, really? We are better served pounding the rock with our two headed monster (not out of the wildcat) but I guess that is more of a reflection on the playcalling and not Henne.
Let me conclude by saying this game was a disaster, not just for Henne, and he was put in terrible position by the special teams (who in my opinion cost us both division game) but this kid instead of getting us back in it, kept making mistakes to increase the defecit.
Im sorry, but I don’t think Henne deserves a game ball for this performance.
WHERES THE LOVE?
FOR JAKE LONG? I understand that other players made huge plays on D and O this Sunday. This also isn't a complaint post, because damn, who could complain about 2-0 and 2 road wins, it frankly couldn't be any better. But with everything I have been reading, where is the mention of Jake Long? He went up against arguably the best player on a great team without ever getting help other than the occasional chip from the running back. I won't deny that some players should be credited with huge games, 21, 37, 91 (my favorite players) to name a few, even Jason *Bleepin* Allen is playing out of his mind, but I just don't think we could have put up 14 points without that stud at LT. I know we all take him for granted because he is practically a staple in our O, and he isn't a shiny new toy like Dansby or Marshall, but let us not forget how Jake Long completely dominated a Pro Bowler in Jared Allen on sunday.
LETS SIGN ANTONIO BRYANT!!!
Let me start by saying i was a big proponent of signing a flashy WR this offseason, and well we got it done with B Marsh. But after reading this report, lets thank the heavens and our genius FO that we didn't sign this guy:
JETS & HARD KNOCKS
Gentlemen, I do not know what to do. My favorite show on television is Hard Knocks on HBO. But as most of you are well aware the featured team this year is the mother f@#$%#ing New York Jets. I can't decide if I should watch or not. I have gotten advice from most of my dolphin friends who either tell me it will still be good while adding fuel to my hatred, or that I should just watch and deal with it. I have a Giants friend who watched last season (Cowboys) and said it did exactly that; add fuel to the fire of hatred. Now, to be honest, I don't know if that is a show I want to watch, something that will just get me pissed. I love football as most of you do, but I just can't stand those stinkin' Jets. What are you all doing??
MONDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
So my boy won a contest on 940 and won tickets to the phinsider suite for monday night practice. Do any of you have any insight into what I'll be seeing, or are any of you going? if so are you guys in the suite? Less important issues, but still relevant, will there be food there? do we get to meet any players or staff? any information would be appreciated. Pumped for this. Thanks Eddie.
Chris Coghlan headed to DL with torn meniscus
NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Chris Coghlan has been diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his knee and will be placed on the disabled list Tuesday.
Report: Marlins fire Fredi Gonzalez

BEST SPORTS SCHOOL
The Florida Gators are the only school to play in a BCS bowl game, make it to the NCAA tournament, and advance to the CWS this year. Not sure if this has ever been done in NCAA history before.
I repeat:
The Florida Gators are the only school to play in a BCS bowl game, make it to the NCAA tournament, and advance to the CWS this year. Not sure if this has ever been done in NCAA history before.
Craig and Ichthyomancy
While i love this game, I fear that i will not be able to make my picks on gamedays, which is when I usually get my winning feelings. I will not be able to because I am taking the rest of the week off and heading to Las Vegas. What really bothers me more is that I will not be able to attend any more Interleague home games this year, but not sure I mind (have a terrible taste in my mouth because of Leo Nunez). Well, let me get to the point. I want to continue this game for the rest of the week, although I won't have computer access. Not sure if this has ever been done before, so this is my formal request. I would like to for Wednesday through Sunday have my attendance for Sun life Stadium at 12,001. My marlins player will be the pitcher for each game. Ex. Annibal tonight - JJ sunday. And i want my AAB to be the bullpen doesn't give up an Earned Run. Again, not sure if this is legal, but if it counts, and I do well this week, the Marlins should notch a few Ws, so we all win!
clay hensley
FROM CBS:
Clay Hensley, RP FLA
News: The Miami Herald reports that Marlins RP Clay Hensley is pinning his recent control problems on the fact he hasn't been feeling well. "I'm just kind of zapped right now," Hensley said. "The body feels like (garbage). It's been like that the last couple of outings. I'm just trying to battle through it." Hensley walked one batter and hit another with a pitch on Tuesday and has walked at least one batter in each of his past five relief outings.
Analysis: Hensley pitched his way into the RP picture in deeper NL-only leagues with a solid first couple of months, but he's looked a lot more unreliable lately. If you have daily lineup adjustments, you might want to bench Hensley for a little while just until he starts to look like his former self again.
Wade JJ LeBron?
We all know Wade is meeting with Joe Johnson and Lebron after July 1... but some interesting comments from our star:
"A lot of decisions [will be based on] what other players are willing to do and what other guys want to do. So it's not just a 'me' situation here. We all have to look and see what each other is thinking."
"I think the biggest question that you think about has to be loyalty," Wade told the Tribune. "I know one thing about Miami: It is a very loyal organization. I see what they do with their players when their players get done with the game of basketball . . . how loyal they are. I don't know about the Bulls."
"I see Michael Jordan is not there, Scottie Pippen is not there . . . You know, these guys are not a part," Wade told the Tribune. "Things like that. So that is probably one of the biggest things for me, because I am a very loyal person."
Brandon Marshall
Rotoworld-- Dolphins coach Tony Sparano revealed Wednesday that Brandon Marshall is recovering from a "routine," undisclosed surgery and may not practice until training camp.
It's not an offseason without some Baby T.O. drama. We'll wait to hear the body part operated on before giving a rough estimate as to when Marshall will be back on the field. His absence from spring OTAs isn't a major concern, but couldn't have hurt Marshall's rapport with Chad Henne. Rising second-year wideout Brian Hartline will get his chance to shine with a full slate of reps. May. 19 - 1:15 pm et
update...
According to ESPN's John Clayton, the surgery Brandon Marshall recently underwent is to his hip.
Marshall also underwent hip surgery last offseason. The Dolphins are characterizing the latest procedure as "routine," indicating that it was arthroscopic in nature and designed to correct dead cartilage in the hip. However, two hip surgeries in as many years remains cause for concern, and coach Tony Sparano wouldn't commit Wednesday to Marshall returning for the start of training camp. Marshall has been quick to recover from injuries in the past, but he'll need to be monitored closely all summer. May. 19 - 2:07 pm et

From profootballtalk.com

Tebow Haters
I really don't get why there are so many out there. I get that SEC fans hated him because he beat them. I get that UM and FSU fans hate him, cause well they didn't beat him either. Its one thing to hate an individual on the field...but off? To be honest how could you not be rooting for this guy? One of the best college players of all time (not debatable) and instead of being content to play whatever just to be in the NFL, he want to strive to be the best and work as hard as he can to accomplish his dream of playing qb in the NFL. Its no easy task, especially when he has to retool and fix his mechanics, but my question is still, why do so many people hate him. I for one have my own biases. I am a student at UF so obviously I am pulling for him. But I also am Jewish, and have never once felt uncomfortable by his religion and his views. I fully believe that the haters out there are trying to nit pick and do not really care about his religion, but if they can be vocal to critique him, then they will.
For example, Matty, I love your dedication to this site and I love your coverage of the Miami Dolphins. But why does every Tebow post make it to the main page? You say your only passing information along, but we all know you clearly don't like him and clearly want to see him either fail, or take criticism. You have posted twice about Tebow in the past week... are we drafting him? no. So why so much coverage of the kid.
I know this post won't change opinions of him, but I really wish someone out there could explain to me how you could root against a guy who represents everything that is GOOD in football. A player who never gives up. Loves the game. Plays with passion. Wont quit. As opposed to all the other bad guys in the game, I just can't comprehend why there are so many people who hate him.
That's my rant, hope you enjoyed it.
Go Tim.
For us Pat Turner fans....
According to rotoworld.com from the Miami Herald: Dolphins coach Tony Sparano indicated that WR Patrick Turner still has plenty of work to do in picking up the fundamentals of his position.
Sparano wants to see Turner be more aggressive, "a little more polished with route running," and releasing better at the line of scrimmage. Turner failed to record a single catch last season, and he doesn't appear any closer to making an impact this time around.
"Calling" something
Guys, Men, Boys, let me preface this by saying in no way am i the phinsider moderator, nor am i perfect. I also must say, that most of you might not agree with me. I have been a member of this blog for awhile. I am very proud of it. I don't post too often, but i read frequently. I have to say though, there is a certain trend that has been bothering me lately. I am not trying to call anyone out, embarrass, or piss anyone off, but I can't understand why some of you find the need to tell all of our community that you "called" this event or that event. Tooting your own horn sounds childish and immature, at least to me. We are all fans of the same team, and we all want to see us succeed. Some of us are negative, some more positive. But all of us, even Dolphin fans not reading this site make assumptions every day on potential moves we make make, or how something may turn out for us. Trust me, if you said that Chad Henne was the man, you were not the only one...I said it...just kidding. But really, I am not here to tell anyone here how to post, and I know we are all Americans, or most of us, and know there is freedom of speech, but for the life of me, i can not understand why some posters feel the need to tell the community that they knew something before anyone else. Like I said, we all who read this blog love our Dolphins, so in turn, talk about them daily, so if you think you are the only one who has thought of something, I guarantee you, you are wrong. Sorry for the such negative message, I just thought it should be mentioned. I realize anyone who has a problem with this can say, well if you have a problem don't read, but again, I love this site, and some of the posts that are the most absurd are the most entertaining, so everyone keep up the good work.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In an effort to keep this post Dolphin related, I would like to add that I am very excited about the Dansby signing like most of you. But i also think we should stick with trying to draft a linebacker in the draft, I am not sold on mcclain, but you can never have enough good LBs. I like the idea of Ryan Clark, just hope he isn't the second coming of Gabril (seriously doubt that). I also read some post about Pat Turner on here, I like the idea, hope he can be our guy.
Hope you all enjoyed my rant, and remember, When you say Miami....

Antonio Bryant?
According to rotoworld:
Free agent WR Antonio Bryant is reportedly interested in joining the Dolphins.
Now, all Bryant needs is the Dolphins to want him too, then we could have a match here. Bryant offers the Fins a big-play, outside weapon that the team and Chad Henne desperately needs. He does have a history with Bill Parcells, but some of it isn't particularly good. Miami seems like an ideal landing spot for Bryant.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do we want him? I watched some bucs games this year, (living in gainesville, fox is all about the bucs) he never wowed me. But he did have terrible QBs throwing him the rock. Could it hurt? Ever since Fielder we brought in every QB on the market (minus Brees) to try to replace Marino, we should just start bringing in huge WRs til one of them sticks....your thoughts...
How valuable is our 3rd Rounder?
Let me preface this by saying, I am not the kind of fan who feels the need sign every free agent out on the market. I love building our team from the ground up. Hell, that is exactly why we brought in Parcells. For example, even though Cromartie went to the Jets, I am glad we didn't even talk to him. But Boldin, is someone we NEED. Yes, i have read all of your opinions, and at this point it is common knowledge we need a #1 WR, but adding Boldin for a 3rd rounder is a can't miss. So many of our 3rd round picks don't pan out, so why not take the risk. People say: "He is injury prone". Well please, find me a football player who isn't injury prone.
I know all of you are tired of hearing about Drew Brees, but I know most of you were screaming at the TV when we didnt draft him, and screaming at the newspaper when you read we signed Culpepper instead of him. But if we all know this is the right move to make, Bill Parcells must know this too, I don't doubt he has a higher football IQ than I. But if we want to pass up on great talent, lets just bring back Wanny and Spielman.
Again, I know I am only voicing what most of you blog about daily, but I NEED to know why we aren't making a stronger push. I love our interest in Dansby, might be the most perfect FA for us, but we can do more!
If Haden dropped to us...
would you want him? The kid has talent that. Obviously we have a young and in my opinion amazing secondary. There may not be a bigger fan of vontae and sean than I. Bell was now a probowler so he is no longer our little secret, but he may be a top 5 safety. With another young stud shutdown corner we could really have a defense that we had 10 years ago. Sam and Pat were the best tandem corners ever, but imagine we had three. yes, i realize we have bigger needs. WR, LB, and i would love more DLine, but at 12, should we be picking the best player available or a need? I guess that is my real question after all this rambling.
GREAT DOLPHINS WIN BUT....
are we starting another one of those college football pickems so i can win again this year?
F*** Nick Saban
Go Gators
Dear Ronnie
I never really do these things, I actually prefer reading others goodbye notes. But as a die hard Miami Dolphin fan, as most of you are, I for one am very sad to watch this happen. He is a workhorse and is a staple of our team, not just our offense. He is the reason we convert on 3rd downs. If we need a play from one yard out to beat our most hated rivals at home on a monday night, who else gets the nod so confidently. I always have loved Ricky, I hated that he left us, but the man came back and ran hard. He also was the reason we drafted #23. We had no back, thanks to Ricky and wanted to get back to run first sceme. This situation brought us the wildcat, something that the Dolphins can use and prove its not a gimmick. Although I digress, this situation made us the running powerhouse we were, Ricky can do some things, I don't doubt that, but Ronnie, were gonna miss you man.
ps. Rex Ryan is in fact, a cry baby.
