I know it is only July and still "early" in the recruiting season, but when are Cleare and his parents coming? It's already the 21st and I'm getting antsy to at least get him here on campus, because that is seemingly the last block in him committing as far as we know.

but he DOES have the potential to succeed and be a solid ACC starter given the minutes and some time. How about we show him some love this season instead of hating on him from Day 1 because he's not as good as Jordan Williams. Coming out of high school I remember they were both ranked the same from ESPN (I know that doesn't mean much), but I personally was more excited about Padge. Obviously JWill was a diamond in the rough, and is taking his shot at the NBA now with a weak draft class- good for him. Proves Gary can mentor a 3 star kid from Connecticut to becoming a possible 1st rounder after his Sophomore season, impressive no matter what the outside conditions are. 

 

Anyway, Padge has the athleticism and ability to be a solid ACC starter, and we need to encourage him and give him our support. THIS IS OUR TEAM, why we would ever hate on our own players is beyond me. It's not his fault he is going to be forced into a starting role, but let's give him a shot. I personally think that if he slows down a little and relaxes he is a solid rebounded and can put some points on the board. That's all we need to ask for right now with Stogs, Pe, Faust, Mosely, and co as guards. It's one season, then we will have JA and possibly a mix of Cleare, Jefferson, McGary, Grant. I personally am excited to see how Padge takes this opportunity, hows that optimism for you?

NEW AT&T COMMERCIAL. Commercial for a phone with internet showing a live (i think) basketball finish. Clip showed was the DREW NICHOLAS SHOT against UNC-Wilmington with the guy checking his phone screaming and then other people all over seeing it on there phone will in weird places all going crazy. Showed the shot and then a few shots after of them rushing the court and how he ran to the locker room. Great to see that shot again and on a national TV ad. Hopefully good things to come in this years tournament! I haven't searched for it on YouTube yet but look out for it on TV. GO TERPS

Just watched a video interview of TRoss on Oregonlive.com. He is asked to list his top 5 schools and he is unsure and comes up with "Oklahoma, Kansas, Kentucky, Oregon, and Washington." I don't want to keep dragging this on so I think I will let this story go but I just dislike him a lot for how he has handled this. De-committing was one thing, but then bailing on Stu Vetter and his highly ranked Montrose team and then completely dropping Maryland, and even the Duke school he was initially wanting to leave us for, just disappoints me. At least I would have liked to have been able to root against him in a Duke uniform when he came to town and even at Cameron. Glad to have some recruits like Peshon, Pankey, Stoglin, and Parker coming who actually want to be here.

Also: For the guy(s) who threw out the rumor about Stoglin wanting to de-commit/get out of his LOI and not come to Maryland- His facebook profile picture is a "photo-shopped" picture of him in his high school uniform with a Maryland background that says "Terrell Stoglin- Point Guard" accompanied by a Maryland logo. This kid is proud to be coming to Maryland- even if he first choice WOULD have been Arizona back when he was deciding. He is ready to take the reins next season. Go Terps! and let's hope to get Reddic or Palsson and get our impressive class wrapped up. N
