Would Philly dump Iggy for cap relief?
If so, then why not do something like this?
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=28hhaod
A three-way trade with New Jersey and Philadelphia.
Nuggets get: Derrick Favors, Andre Iguodala, Marreese Speights.
Nets get: Carmelo Anthony, Renaldo Balkman.
Philadelphia gets: Troy Murphy, Shelden Williams.
Denver finally gets rid of Melo, inevitably parting with Balkman and Williams to even out the numbers, while gaining young prospect Favors and a solid scorer in Iggy along with Mareese Speights (don't know too much about him? but he has put up solid numbers in the past) who can be a decent C allowing Nene to play his natural 4 spot. Then there's the picks that NJ just recently picked up.
New Jersey finally gets Melo.
Philly dumps Iggy's contract while gaining a big fat expiring in Troy Murphy, perhaps also getting one of the 1st rounders picked up by NJ to make it more alluring. This one is a legit salary dump. But the pick could help them build for the future as they mould their team around Evan Turner.
What you guys reckon?
Trade Suggestion?
How's this trade?
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yk4rqr8
Nuggets trade:
JR Smith to INDIANA
Malik Allen or Johan Petro (either one) to WASHINGTON
Pacers trade:
TJ Ford to WASHINGTON
Brandon Rush to DENVER
Wizards trade:
Brendan Haywood to DENVER
Mike James to INDIANA
This way, the Nuggets get that illustrious big man they've been craving for while jetting JR Smith and his emotional baggage away for a decent scorer with potential in Brandon Rush.
Indiana trades away TJ Ford who has been whining while giving the dynamite scorer of JR Smith the chance to compliment Danny Granger's game at the starting SG spot. They also get back another proven veteran PG much like TJ Ford to replace him.
Washington gets a PG (that they'll actually give minutes to) that can start in place of Gilbert Arenas in the short term. I mean let's be frank here; how long can Randy Foye, Earl Boykins and Mike Miller run the point for a team that actually wants to win? And they also give Mike James a chance at actually playing basketball. Trading one whiny PG for another. Malik or Johan would just be an expiring fill in to make the numbers work.
Nuggets Sign Dontaye Draper

Nuggets pick up Draper By None None Staff reports Friday, October 2, 2009
Former College of Charleston guard Dontaye Draper has signed with Denver Nuggets, the NBA team announced Thursday.
The 5-11, 180-pound Draper averaged 4.6 points per game and 1.6 assists in five games with the Nuggets' NBA Summer League entry that posted a 4-1 record in July.
Draper, who played for the Cougars from 2003-07, ranks fifth on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,541 points. The two-time All-Southern Conference performer played 117 career games and averaged 3.6 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game.
NBA vs H1N1
With the NBA fearful of the damage an H1N1 flu outbreak could create on the league, the league office has passed down an anti-handshake directive.
Players and coaches have been asked to greet each other via more sanitary means of contact, such as fist pounding.
“No handshaking,” Doc Rivers said. “I think it’s a good thing. A fist pound is just great.”

that's awesome shiz imo hahah
Morris Almond
What about this guy? Averaged nice numbers (point-wise and 3PT shooting-wise anyway) in the D-League last season. Can't be THAT bad in the big leagues... right? I don't know, this Nuggets offseason is hella boring.
He was being hyped up when he got drafted wasn't he. Heard he got a training camp invite with the Magic though. Even if he gets on the team, he'll be on the back of their bench already with Pietrus and Barnes coming off their bench. Then you got VC and Rashard Lewis getting starter minutes Check out his game logs from last D-League season...
And any dude who can score 50+ points in a D-League game must deserve some consideration at least! Unless i'm missing something here. But hey, fill me in.
