Breaking News: LAC didn't invent flopping
OK, we've heard a lot of "complaining" about the Clippers flopping this season. I'm assuming Jazz and Nuggets fans are especially upset because they lost those games. Clearly, flopping is a new phenomenon in the NBA given the recent outrage from non-clipper fans. But wait, there's also this new thing called YouTube! and *gasp* the Nuggets and the Jazz and every other team in the NBA flop too. Seriously though, flopping is a part of the NBA period. Until the league decides to punish flopping (with a technical foul or other punishment) or refs stop calling them, flopping will live on. Obviously, refs don't always catch flopping (which is kind of the point) which means teams use this as an advantage. NBA champions flop. It's not new, it's not cheap, it's SMART.

terrible all star weeked ? (poll)
Anyone really really bored with all star weekend so far ? Lets see -
Horse - BORING. Kevin Durant made a couple shots but Rondo and Casspi were not making a damn thing, and the shots they did make were regular ass jumpers. The 3 point shootout towards the end was kind of interesting especially because Rondo is shooting 25% but I'm not really sure how winning a 3 point contest makes you a horse winner.
Shooting Stars - I thought this one was actually interesting because of the final round. I liked how Brent Barry represented the clips !
Skills Challenge - Also somewhat interested, I though Brandon Jennings would have won if he hadn't missed that last chest pass multiple times.
Dunk Contest - snoozefest. Gerald Wallace was unenthusiastic and made some dunks everyone in the nba can do in Calabasas(ha). What happened to let Shannon Dunk ? fail. Derozan's one dunk off the side of the backboard was decent. Nate Robinson did the same ol' he's been doing every year. I really despise fan voting - It was obvious that people were rooting for the little guy so that gave him an unfair advantage. Not to mention fan voting went for a whole 5 minutes. If LeBron aint in it next year, It's going to fail so bad they should just cancel it.
Rookie/Soph game - lame. No Eric Gordon (barely). Michael Beasley once again sunk his team into a loss because of his famous ball hogging. He's like that one kid nobody ever wants to play with because he shoots 99% of the time and if he doesn't he'll take his ball home. Westbrook and Mayo were also hogging but at least they made shots, beasley is just ridiculously annoying.
3 point shootout - OK. I thought it was going to be Stephen Curry easily but Pierce surprised me. They need better shooters instead of going for the name players - that's what the all star game is for. Anthony Parker, Steve Novak, Anthony Morrow all should have been there.
Hopefully the All Star game itself will be better, but I doubt it. The crowd was silent at all of the events. What are your thoughts ? All Star weekend any good ?
The Pick is OFFICIALLY BLAKE GRIFFIN
"I know nothing is set in stone, but L.A. is a great opportunity and if they do want me I'll do the best in whatever way I can," said Griffin. "I know it's a little bit different [with the No. 1 pick in this draft]. I've heard rumblings that this draft is weak and stuff like that so it does put me at ease a little bit. But at the same time I know I still have to perform at the level expected of me."
