good evening fellow fins fans. 

some of you fellas know me from my monthly post of animals den.  but i stopped because i was so disapointed in our fans.

i use to never ever go to another teams web site. i thought that to be a true fan i would stick to just our page. but after seeing all this crappy ass attitude from our fans i decided to go to other pages to see how the other fans act.

and you know what i saw?  that reading their post that i was looking in a mirror of our fans. it was really sad. 

i had a pain in my heart to think that we would end up stupping to such a low level.  to be honest we should be ashamed of ourself acting like this.  i know our team has problems every team does but use as fans should back our team 

i know it sounds silly but how can we expect our team  to raise to greatness if we are not supporting them 300%

dont you think our team feels this? dont you think it effect them? well i am here to tell you it does. i have been around a LONG time and i am telling you fan support has a great effect on a team.

 i love this site and i think matty does a wonderful job of bringing us everything fins but we are kiiling this place with all this crying crap.

seems everyone wants the heads of our FO. the way i see it they are still trying to fit the right guys in the right spots.

so they are doing something to try and imporve this team yet everyone harps on them.  i just dont understand it. they make mistakes they are human after all and learning how to do their job.

i see everyone hollering about dumping  sparano for guys like cower or gruden. i think you guys are star blind by the names. did you know it took cower 15 years to get to the big game. now sink that thought into your head.. and let me say it again 15 years.. yet tony has only been a head coach for 2 and a third years and already you are wanting to can him. where is the logic in that?

then i see where folks are wanting to bet the farm in draft picks to get a certain qb this luck guy. ya he looks great in collage but that is no  guarante he will work out then we wasted all our picks for nothing and you guys would scream and bitch  about what a stupid move that was. so you guys just want us to pick up one guy when we could get several other guys and two or three of them work out instead of just one who may not.. cant you see how assine that is?

so forget this stuff. stand up and be PROUD that your a fins fan  i admire fan like fr8  who knows football and looks at the team with open eyes. and even more so i admire ohoio's faithful love for OUR team he makes me  want to strive to be like him. i love his devotion to OUR team.  he is a true fan and i salute him.

SO in closing i challange you . stand up join as one say yes i am a fin fan i love them and stand behind our team cheer till you cant cheer no more show our team we are behind them good or bad  will NEVER falter in our faith in this team. remember  it is us the fans who help to ,make us great it is our duty to imspire our players to give it their best.

howdy fellers!!! yep it is me again your friendly back woods hillbilly.  *takes  a big ole draw from his corncob pipe*  dont ask what is in it. matty will bann me if i tell ya.  i have refrained from posting on here for a while now.  the reason? way to many crazys  on here at the start of the season.  but is seems here as of late that  it has settled down  quite a bit so i thought i would give it a shot and sum up my feelings so far on this season.

first and formost this team is just where we thought it would be come the halfway point of the year.  funny how some folks still freaking out about  that.  we all figured that if we got thru this very grueling  first part of the season that it would be a cake walk the rest of the way.  yet fate has delt us a different hand.  teams that for years now that have been the celler dwellers are all the sudden crawling out of the  pit  and actually playing some good ball.  then again what did you expect? the loins, raiders, browns would be trash teams forever?

i remember a time when the bills were in the playoffs year in and year out and it was the colts and pats that were the trash teams. but with the birth of FA and the salary cap teams  are able to revolve now and teams like the cowboys can no longer buy thier way into the playoffs. speaking of which umm mister goodel i hear that there may be a movement by teams to lift those things and make it more like baseball. and a shocker the cowboys owner is one of them pushing for that.. what is the matter boys you cant find real talent anymore? maybe it is time for the cowboys to get a new owner...hummm..??  well more on mister goodel later.

right now we as fans need to take a good hard look at our team. we said by mid season that we would get our answers and from what i have seen we have. for me when chad henne started i really had no opinion or expections on him.  i think that goes to because i dont follow collage ball so i have a clean slate on players when they hit the pro level. i like it that way so that i have no biased on any player before hand. but from what i have seen from him so far is that he is a slow learner. it is going to take this kid another of couple of years as a starter before his light comes on. he is still making rookie mistakes. i do see improvement but not fast improvement. so then for him the question for me is do we give him that time to get better or do we take a chance on a new qb thru the draft and hope that he is a faster fit  to our team?  for me  i would say give the boy his time. like others had said if we are to quick to cut him and another team picks him up and all the sudden he takes that next step we look like the fools.  i also think that some of our fans may be right about sitting him for the rest of this season give the starting job to CP10 since this is the kind system he is best suited for.

it may very well be what chad needs to lite a fire under his ass and get him out of robot mode.  we have killed our playoff hopes which again to me was a pipe dream anyway with so much young raw talent on the team. funny how we expected such high hopes for that. since when did a team full of rookies and one year players become an instant playoff team?

alot of you have been calling for our OC'S head. to be honest you guys are right on the money on that. i wont rehash all the bad plays. but henneing has been calling plays like it was the preseason. someone needs to call up to the booth and tell that old fart that the real season has started already.  ther comes a time when the game passes us by. you cant have a over the hill OC calling  out dated playing schemes.  he is so set in his ways it is like he is not even trying to adjust to what the other team is doing out there. and he is not even close to putting our talent in the best situation to win. he dont know how to wing it in short. so he really needs to go at the end of this season. personally i wouldnt be to upset if he went yesterday. give david lee a chance to see what he can do. i mean with our playoffs pretty much snuffed out what harm could it do?

now  our HC has been taking some heat as of late. myself i have been one of his biggest fans and suporters. but i will say this. tony we as fans see our weaknesses so i sure hope that you see them as well and you take steps to correct them.  you fired our special teams coach for not getting the job done so i sure as hell hope that same holds true for that out dated OC and if not then this fan will  have to rethink his loyalty to you.

one last thought.. mister goodel i am taking areal hard look at you. this is NOT i repeat NOT NOT NOT freaken madden football. stop freaken trying to make it that way. all your doing is making this game one sided all these rules and fines are way past being just stupid. hell your refs cant even figure out all this BS. why do you think they are making so many bad calls this year? i will tell you why you are making up so many rule changes that even a lawyer cant figure them out. so just stop already damn  man.  and one more issue i have with you is why is it that you make the players  accountable you make the coaches accountable but yet you give the refs a free pass? something is starting to stink around here and trust me as a farmer i know stink when i smell it.  all this crap about fineing someone over talking??? i mean really? they cant even say what they feel?? hell then why not just put up a teleprompter in all the inter view rooms for the players and coachs to read from? i got one word for you..disgusting. you keep on this path goodel and you will single handedly kill the nfl.

wow  fans so here we are just on the verge of the one game that we have talked about since way back in the draft.

we are riding high over a 2-0 record. some folks may say well it is just only two games the season is still early yet. to that i say any win in the nfl is a big win. it is not like basket ball or baseball where yo ugot like what 100 games a season so one loss or win is no big deal you got plenty of time to make it up.. well in the nfl you only got 16 chances to win. so YES any win is a big deal and should be treated as such.  one win or one loss could be the difference between going to the big game and just sitting on the couch watching the big game.  so i say savor the wins each and everyone of them no matter what week it is. pound our chest and be loud. hold our pride for this team on our sleeves. let the other teams trash talk. all that says is that they are scared and they hide behind harse words to cover it up.

i know fans here  been upset over how tight  lipped our team has been playing. well on the O side of the ball anyway.  i say relax folks. since the time they first steped on a field to play a game of football. the defences have always been ahead of the offences. this is nothing new it never has been.  our offences has way to much going for it to not be good to even awsome. as fans we must give them time to work out the kinks but understand that this team was never built to just air it out. you have to see that this team is being built on balance so that say if we meet up with ta team that we cant run on. then we can switch to the pass to beat them. but now say a team like the colts. if you take manning out of the game then what do you have?  a very poor team

i myself dont want a one trick pony type of team.  and i am thrilled about  how our team is trying to be a threat no matter what part of it you try to stop. my fellow friend and fans here we are al about balance and i for one cant be happier about it.

so mister nicky have gotten front page work. not to surprised...aww who am i kidding i was in shock.. i thought hell that boy cant even spell vigina right and he is on the front page.  then i read his play break downs and i was in awe.. who is this guy? what talent has he been hiding al this time?  how can a guy who eats the crouch out of dirty shorts for a hobby  actualy come up with this stuff.  so hats off to you mister nicky my great grand pappy would be proud.  and i have a request of you if yo uwould be so kind. could you break down that 51 yard run but ronnie brown in that minny game?  if you would then thank you.. if not then well  F*&K you  ;op... but really i would love to see your take on it. and hats off to you  and for such write ups you have risen my respect for you as a person and a writer.

i noticed a certain post on here a few days back from a fan who called me a fake hoe... and yes from the post he was calling me such a name. as he was every fan of this team here. at first i was offended how dare he call me fake. as calling me a hoe on top of that?  wel i wil tall you that yes i am a hoe.and i will tell you why.. everytime my wife gives me my 20 dollars a week [lay moeny and i take it then i have to preform in the bedroom for her then yes i am a hoe.. and i bet most of the fans on here are as well. since al ahoe really is. is someone who takes some form of payment for a sexual act. so ummmm why is the word hoe used in such a bad way?  since we all do it in one form or another right?  so umm in the long run yes i am a hoe.  but i got to tal ya with my wife i think i am going to start asking for danger pay as well.. danger you say? well yes when not i have to prop  up her inner thights with two-by-fours, use a hard hat and a space suit and bag of flour to find her hunny spot.. very dangerous indeed.

isnt it great to be a dolpins fan this year? our team has done something they havent done in years. they went to the bills house and battled it out for a win.. i know folks wil say the bills are trash blah blah blah and what not. but history has told use time and time again that the bills at home is no gimmie game. for all their short comings the bills are a tuff team to beat at home. and we did it anyway so yes it was a good hard fought victory. then we march into  the vikings house.. yes the 9-0 vikings at home. and in the end we show them that we are the better team. all the other folsk around can make up reasons why the vikes lost.. it was this or it was that.. the vikes were not as good as last year?? i mean really? far as i could tell they had most of the same players as they did last year so why all the sudden they are not as good as before? umm i hate to pop ya bubble but yes they are as good as they was last year. we beat them and that sunday it was our fins that was the better team.  no exscuses. we game planed and figured them out and beat them with it so no matter what exscues you may have in the end it was stil a good win.

besides when the teams are looked at for a super bowl run they only look at wins and losses do they not? i know unless it is a tie and what not but even stil the the next thing is division wins right?  i mean at not at any time do they say well this team won but they have ugly wins so lets not put them in the big game.  umm NOT.  my great grand pappy use to say: it is not the trip that is important it is what is at the end of the trip that is.  so to me what he is saying is keep your eye on the prize and not get side track by how we get there. so to me if henne only throws 10 yrd passes all game and gets us a win all the way to the big game then i wil cheer the check down king al the way there.

as my great grand pappy use to say: a woman is much like a vibrator.. really fun to play with but once the batteries run down then  all you want to do is toss them in a drawer

the heart and soul of football is finally here and we have our very first real game of the season under our belts.  all i got to say about that is DAMN DONT IT FEEL GOOD!!!!

it sure helped to curb alot of this CLS stuff that has been running rampet around here.  yes i still see a few that are still very much under its grip. but all and all i think it is coming to an end.

of course no matter how good the team is there is always going to be the nay sayers and the ones who dont ever feel like it is good enough.  example yet again i see peeps clammering to get rid of the wildcat. umm why?? we ran it like  what three or four times and every time it gained us plus yards yet still  they want to get rid of it as a failure.  so what because we are not ripping off 10 to 20 yards  everytime from it,  it is a bust and we should get rid of it? well i guess if we follow that line of thinking then  we should get rid of every single play that  only gets us a yard or two.. lol i wonder what football would look  then.  (sorry we cant  play this sunday we dont have any plays left that we can run)

why all this double standard stuff. i dont hear a single person saying that we should drop the halfback draw play everytime they only get a yard or two out of it.  so lets see. wildcat 90% of the time it results in + yards. only one time myself can i remember that it ever ended in any - yards.  now halfback draw 75% of the time it makes +yards and 25% of the time it makes - yards. yet not a word.. strange aint it.

listen folks the wildcat works so lets keep it. if nothing else it gives other teams just that much more to prepare for when they are facing us.

some of the things i took away from tonights game was.

the FS spot that everyone thought was gonna be a big weakness for us seems not so much now. if that is what clemmons is going to bring to the table every game then is it not only not a weakness it is one of the teams new strengths.

wake is looking like the real deal out there.  as do misi and odrick if this is the foundation that they are working on we got something special out of this years draft.

J Allen done a pretty dang good job shutting down lee evans for most of the game.  if he can keep that up along with how well vonte is playing then i just got one thing to say : hey revis your not the only shut down CB in the game

Marshall and dansby are worth every penny we paid for them.

hartline my friend if you want to stay as our number 2 WR then you need to fix the dropies that you are having. look what it done for ginn.  

our oline is much better then some fans seem to give them credit for.  i dont know what game you was watching but henne  had plenty of time to throw that ball. three sacks vs three penilties. i will take those odds any day.

henne is going to be just fine. i see some of you guys bitching about him being a gun slinger yet only checking down all the time. do you guys open your eyes and really look at the game  instead of just this gut check reaction to everything. did it accour to yo uthat maybe he checked down because that was all the was left open to him?  everyone says the bills are a wussy team. well i dont think so.  i mean they do have the 2 nd ranked secondary in the nfl and yet thru out the game henne was able to move the ball up and down the field.  to me i would rather have a cp10 type qb then a farve type qb. if you look at all of sundays game  what is the one thing you will see beside most of the qbs that henne didnt have?  well let me inlighten you.  no turn overs.  yep that is right not one single fumble or int. not one.  how many times have we seen a gun slinger type qb loose a game because of a bad timed int? more times then i want on my team i can tell you that.  so if our qb is moving the ball down the field 80% of the time then i am one happy fan.  henne is not perfect by any strech but then again who is?  stop trying to put expectations on him that he will never reach.  last i saw not one single living being on this planet was so why in your mind does he have to be?

i myself feel really good about what our team has shown us so far.  today we done two things that we havent done in a very long time.

one we put up a win on opening day. when was the last time that happened?  and two we beat the bills in thier house.  crappy team or not the bills  have never been a push over for us.

there was also one more shock that i saw last night. that was during tony's post game press confrence.  you better sit down for this.  the man took OFF his sunglasses and really talked to the press.  that is right for the first time i was able to really look into that mans eyes. i got to tell ya for me when i can look a man straight in the eyes it tells me loads about that person.  we got us a real coach guys one who is al about football. he is winning me over for the only the second time in my football life as a fan of a person over my team.  the only other guy to do that was our own beloved dan marino.

now for all you guys still struck with this dreaded cls stuff. try to relaxe. the first game of the season is like preseason 2.0 we get to see what our team is really like and they are still getting the feel for one another. but from what i have seen we are heading in a very Right direction. trust me we are only going to get better.  b ar any injuries.

how can you not be happy about that and let that cls stuff fall to the wayside.

as my great grand pappy use to say:  give a man a fish and feed him for a day..but teach him to fish and feed him for the rest of his life.

so here we are Two preseason games. ya know i got to tell ya in all my years watching this team i dont think i can remember a time that i was this excited about Preseason.

watching that game with Jags sparked something in me.. when the offence first started and they were pushed back into a saftey my heart dropped into the pit of my stomach, and i started to get this lingering fear of doubt in the back on my mind trying to tell me that everything i was reading in the papers and on this site had me really believing that we were going to be so much better this year.

but then.. oh my gosh but then. the offence came out and at first it was one good play then another and another. my eyes started to get a bit wider.. my heart began to pound a bit  louder. what with this?? they are moveing down the field like there was no defence... chad henne was turning into the QB we have been dreaming of since our beloved dan retired.  i sat up a bit more in my chair...then before my eyes the magic happend. a awsome pass to fasano, his sprint to the end zone..  i nearly stood up in my chair... i saw a team right then. players who have totally bought into what the coach was trying to team.. we are a TEAM when we are out on that field we are NOT one person we are a team of ONE. we think as one we move as one...never forget that..we want the super boel.. we are gonna Work hader and plap harder then ANY other team out there.  when then other team faces us they face us as ONE!

and i gotta tell ya to actually see what i now like to call the *Marshal effect* on the field.. my word it was a thing of bueaty at how it changed defences and opens up  our offence.. were they perfect by no means.. but what made me proud was watching them easily over come those set backs  and get the job done.  but i think if we can bring the marshel effect to every gamre.. it is gonna be scary good.

ya know when they showed coach sparano on the side line and they  he looked. just made me smile and i truely am begining to love how he works.. i saw the passion and the drive to win.. it burns in him and i can see it. i think in his eyes this wasnt just a preseason game it was a will to win.. it just gets me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.

also to see that the defence is slowly starting to come together. they are still learning and i can feel that they will only get better as the season comes. but for now there is still  alot of work to be done to be  an elite D  but i think that once we start seeing the lights coming on in our playres it wil only improve.

ya know everyone talks about bill parcels but i got to give jeff irland  alot of credit for finding good players.. i mean really if you look back and out of the past few drafts once they got here i mean three or four of the rookies make the team.. to me that is fantastic..so hats off to them

so you may say i have been drinking way to much cool aide.. and maybe i have hehe it is great mixed with shine.

and not to sound to mushy or anything but it is wonderful to have a site like this with so many die hard fans.. it really gives you a sence of connection with everyone here.. joined by a common bond for the love of a team. to put your heart and soul into being a true fan of such a team..  well it just feels like home to e and i am really honored and humbled to be here. *sigh* ok enough with the mushy stuff.


 one last thought before i go the show that the nfl is outting out now  what is it called? the red zone? where it shows every touchdown for every game? umm i mean what is the point? dont they do that anyway in with the half time shows and the post game shows? so they are gonna maybe make it more dramatic ok so what i already seem them,, so time i dont think it is worth it..again what is the point.

hehe ok i blabbered on enough.

as my great grand pappy use to say:  one good thing about getting old..is that you can get a 10% discount from hookers.

so we have finally gotten our first taste of football in a real game setting.. called the preseason.  and yet already fans are running around like their hair is on fire.  OMG!!! this guys sucks.. this guy is gonna be awsome..  sign this guy .. cut that guy!!  all i can say is thank god none of you guys actually run this team.  maybe you guys have lost sight of what a preseason game really is.  allow me to refresh your memory..

A preseason game is a chane for a teams coaching staff to see how well the teams new players  handle real game situations and to see how guys adjust to the new schemes the coachs have been trying to teach them this year.   it is NOT about who wins or looses or hoow many points was scored. now can  some of you guys please breath into the small papaer bag for a bit and try and relaxe. i am amazed some of you guys can even stand up with how tight your spincters have  got a grip on that chair your sitting on.

i hope this helps you to better understand what the preseason games are all about.

fans make knee jerk reactions that goodness good coaches do not.

now for you guys who seem to love to anilyze every single player on every single play and then declare them bust or not based on one play or two. all i have to say is......really?? in case you havent noticed that the game of football is played by humans and ALL humans make mistakes.  the thing is NO player no matter how great they are dont screw up a play from time to time.  either mental or physical.  if they didnt then  i guess in your mind guys like tom brady  and payton manning suck as well. considering they both  have thrown int's

so along those lines lets take a look at mister sean smith. everyone seems to be harping on that ONE bad play that  cost us a score.   ok one bad play.. how many good plays did he have over that one??  one? two? three?? seems to me if he had at least more good plays then bad plays  he is doing just fine.  what folks seem to be forgetting is  again this is a team sport and there are  10 other guys out there all working together to try and make good plays as well.  what will seperate us  is  good teams  over come  those kinds of mistakes bad teams dont.  in the end we  won. so in my eyes  we have a good team.  a perfect team? not by a long shot. but then again there is no such thing as a perfect team.

AS my great grand pappy use to say: only two things  a man is guarantetd in this world.. one: to live and the other to die.    it is only  in one of those things he will be perfect.  and it sure as hell aint in the first one.

again as i have said about pat white i will  use for sean smith.  you all have to keep in mind that this is  only his second year so he is still going to make those  big mistakes.  what you need to always look for is improvement. did  he improve from last year?  i would have to say yes. so as long as he is improving you cant ask for anything more out of a player. once a player stops improving then it dont take this league long to figure them out and be able to shut  that player down.

couple of things i think is funny. first is  how  fans are so hung up on the phrase of  :this is a show me now sport:  i think that is funny because those very same fans will use a players past as a basis in their mind of a player being good or bad.  folks are clammering to cut pat white.. why? because of last year.  but then what happened to show me now?  he hasnt been given any chance to show me now yet he still sucks and you want to trade or cut him.  cant have it both ways fans.

the second things is how everyone says that collage means nothing in the nfl. haha really? then why is it that the nfl goes to colleges to find players?  because it does mean something and what players do there has a very big bearing on what coachs are looking for. but by your way of thinking then just any old joe blow could walk off the street and be a nfl player because playhing in the sport before the nfl means nothing. so then why dont teams just open  up addutions to the general public like the eagles did way back when?   i think what fans are really meaning is that   some players dont learn the nfl style of playing as fast as we would like.  so what does it realy boil down to?  i think it is patiences and most fans dont have that.  they want it NOW NOW NOW.. humm sound like any three year olds you know?

one last little tid bit before i go.  i finally let my curiosity get the better of me and i watched an E.P of hard knocks.  mostly because i wanted to know just how much into the inner workings of a team they got into and to see what i could take away from jets training camp.  know your enemy and all that.

 i gotta say after watching it  my jaw was on the floor.  i just pray to al that is holy that the things i saw them doing are not going on in our training camp.  i mean to have some one there to just gather news stories on  your team and to put blogs up on a screen  to go over??  why is that important? looks like  you are drinking to much of your own  hype.  how does doing that make your team better?  looks like nothing but a distraction to me.  and why in the hell do you have a aging old QB sitting in on your team meetings and putting his input on what is going on?  *shakes head* some guys are players and will never be anything more then that and some guys can be players and have a good head for coaching.. the trick is to know the difference.

so here we have it.. finally training camp starts.  and some of you my be asking : animal where the heck ya been we have  new things to talk about finally:  to that i say really?  well to me TC is like bad foreplay. ya things are going on but it stil aint the real thing.

so what do we really have new to talk about? well some guys are stepping up and some guys are not.. again this is not surprising. for me the only thing TC really does is let me know that the season is finally just around the corner.  these guys are not going full contact and are just in a learning phase.  then again it is better then nothing  and having to read thru  100 post about the same thing over and over.  so i wil take it.. just dont expect me to run to the bathroom with the lotion and a towel over it.

shoot even preseason is just a little better kinda like moving from foreplay to oral.. to me the meat and potatos of the nfl is the actual season. everything else is just something for us fans to chew on before the main course gets here.

i see that the jets post have started to creep back onto our site again.  i myself kinda got mixed feelings about it. on one hand they are and have been  one of our division rivals since god made eve. so of course we are gonna want to know what they are up to. but to focus totally on them when we have the pats and even the bills to contend with is like getting a ennama *sp with a fire hose.

i for one think we are taking the bills to lightly. after all remember not to far back it was us that everyone was overlooking and look what we did. so if we did it the bils sure could to.. think about this what would it be like if once the season is done the bills are top of the afc east and the rest of us are left scratching our head and wondering what the heck happened.

now i myself am a fan ot the dolphins team and NOT any single player. why? becuase players come and go but the team stays the same. but i have been reading and it amazes me how quickly fans are clammering for pat whites head.  have you guys not been seeing the same FO that i have?  they give players a chance to grow and learn. and not for just ONE year. i mean what the heck do most of you expect?  for one he has to learn the most demanding  postion on the team and he has had very little chance to grow. i mean come on guys.. a handfull of plays on  one game?  give the guy a break.. that is like asking a hooker to know all the postions of the kama sutra when the only thing she has had to train with takes batteries.  i myself am not a fan of his either way.  give him three years to learn like they do all rookie QB's and then if he stil sucks .. clammer for his head on a pike.  thank god the coaches are not as short sighted as most fans are.  i mean if that is how you want to have to FO run a team then i suggest you become a jets fan.

ahhh and the JT thing still rears its ugly head.  again for me it goes back to not being a fan of players over a team. but i do understand that for some they grow very fond of players and to see them go to your most hated rival well it is a large wound that wil take  a long time to heal. so for those of you who are bitching over it try to understand that not everyone  lets go of things as easily as you might.  my stand on it is this. i loved what he did while he was here but he is not here now so what he does is totally not my concern.  if he does well  on his new team good .. if not well then i guess there is always reality tv for him.

tony was asked today about if HBO'S hard knocks had asked to do a show on the phins and his answer was NO and NO.  thank you tony for being a stand up kinda guy.. it is things like that, that keeps you earning my respect.  even though as a fan i would love to see it only for the fact that it would give me a inside view of how things work there.  but  i will live with just wondering if it gets us a ring or two down the road.

as my great grand pappy usde to say: why is it everytime someone scratches their arse and they smell their finger afterwards? dont they think it is going to smell any different then the last time?

i have been noticing how when some things happen in football that folks chalk it up to luck.. good or bad.  so it got me to thinking. is there really luck in football? 

my conclusion......no there isnt.  now now before ya grab ya torches and pitch forks and start screaming for my head let me explaine.

ok say you have a running back coming out of the back field and he fumbles the ball and it takes a bounce back into his hands and he makes six more yards out of it.  now most folks would say that is lucky would you not?

i say it wasnt luck at all but skill of the player. 

Luck yes that the ball bounced his way instead of off his foot  and ten yards away from him. but it was his skill in reacting fast enough to see what happened and to get the ball back under his control all the while  a flurry of 300lb guys are trying to smash him into the ground.  now if he wasnt skilled  enough then tno matter what way that ball bounced he would have missed it and  instead of a six yard gain it was a turn over.

same could be said for tipped balls.  no matter where it is tipped if the players around the ball is skilled enough it is either caught or intercepted.  there for taking the luck factor out of it.

 even bad calls by the ref's can fall under this. say a team gets a 10 yrd penelty it will be there skill as a team to either  make up those yrds and say get a 20 yrd run or pass out of it or to just go three and out.

*smiles* so this is my take on luck.  now feel free to scream for my head.

now we come to my second part of this post.  again  i have seen how fans are already given up on pat white. ohh and before i go on i am in no way on the pat white bandwagon.  but seems to me that fans are not holding him to the same standards that we have held henne to.  i mean  henne has  done what we all agree is a great plan for young QB"S year one hold the clip board.  year two get one the field  with limited playing time. year three take over the team.  he has done that and folks are already calling him the next greatest qb the phins have ever had if not the best. which in my view has yet to be seen until he does it.

yet with white year one toss him on the field make only five pass atempts. no year two in the books yet and no year three at all. and everyone is already calling him a bust.

is this not double standards? sure looks like it to me.

good evening fellow phins fans.  finally enough things have happend for me to write about.  SO pull up a chair, pass the pipe and lets get started.

well here we are still dredging thru  the waste land that is known as the off season.   and our little inner football players are so starved for news that they are looking like eithiopins *sp.  hum maybe we could start a fund  like on tv.

but alas there is a small glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.  so keep hope  for soon like pregnat teenagers the season will be here.

to start things off  most recently we had some remarks from our owner making news. ya ya  i know like that is really news huh.  but anyhow it really turned a stirr on this site.  most for and some against.   all i can say is stay calm. once the season starts things like this will not even  matter for there will be so much more important things to talk about.

next  we have brandon marshall finally picking his number.  thank god we can put that to rest.  my only comment on that is i really hope brandon that is not a sign of things to come.  dont be that  hum-holi about  cacthing balls and making yards.  please and thank you.

and lastly  i have seen a few post about over and under rated players.  hehe just goes to show what we will talk about when there is very little real news.  the way i see it. what a player does is what he does regardless.  trying to figure out what he may or may not do is pointless since no one can predict the future. and if any of you can please tell me next weeks lottery numbers.

side note:  i have saw some haten on  ole #13.  honestly rather you like him or not or base his whole career on a ring or not. keep this in mind when most talks are brought up about the QB'S which name is brought up most??? humm yes you know that answer.  ring or not he is who is most used when comparing greatness.

this also brings me to JT.  *smiles* my how fickle some fans can be.  fellas jt gave us alot of good years here  at miami. yes it sucks he is playing for our hated rival. but really  he was  one of the few bright spots we had on our team for alot of bad seasons.  so now he plays for another team. last i saw this is very very common. players switch teams all the time.  and for a wide  range of reasons.  so i ask you please dont hate on jt just because he no longer plays for us.  for what he did here i think he deserves our respect and well wishes for his time left in the nfl.

in a nonfootball related note:  i happened into the the ckc this evening.  and let me tell you the talk on weed was something that struck me very funny.  if there is one thing i know  about...that is weed.  been smoking it since i was 12  and it has been well over 30 years.  so i would like to add my two cents to that convo for the ones talking about it.

fact:  proven not addicting physically.  your brain may think you are but in truth your not. unlike ciggs and booze. Doctors also support this.

i know this to be true from my track record. for when my source is out i may have to go as long as two weeks without it  and i am fine. wish i had it yes but i can live without it.  my wife on the other hand if she dont have a ciggerette after a day she is ready to murder someone.

Fact: weed will not kill you if you smoke to much NOR give you cancer.  again proven by doctors. infact they have shown that it is helpful for folks who already have cancer. it helps with eating.. we all know the munchies right ;op. it also reduces swelling and  the pain caused from such swelling. dont believe me?? look it up. 

now you can smoke  one J or  one hundred J'S and you wont OD on it. it wil only get you so high. unlike booze. drink to much and you will poision your fool self.

Fact: making weed legal will help out this econamy *sp. they have already proven that in a place called amsterdam. again look it up.  they made it legal there crime dropped 50% freed up jail space as well.  no reason to put folks in the slammer for posesion anymore.  and unlike some folks had said. with out a demand the suppliers *meaning dealers* went out of business in favor of small smoking shops opening up.  again why go to a shady dealer when you can go to the nearest 7 elven and get it. and trust me most smokers would rather buy it there  to get more for your dollar then off a dealer.

Fact: 98% of weed dealers or NON voleint. stop buying from them and they will not come and murder your family.  i know tons of sellers and they dont give to crap if you buy or not.  dont confuse gang violence with weed violance they are NOT the same. in fact  again if you look it up  weed  kills  MAYBE a handful of people every couple of years. and that is not because of the weed itself but because of poor choices made because of it.   unlike how maybe folks are killed due to drinking. which is in the hundreds every few days.  shoot i was almost one of them.

now dont get me wrong. i am in NO  and i mean NO  way indorcing smoking weed.  i think that is a personall choice only you can make.  i only posted this because weed already gets a bum rap based on lies and misinformation.

well now  all my reading is done.  and my eyes have nearly fell out.  i am going to try to sum up  what i think.

well what do ya know  last season didnt turn out quite like we had hoped as far as wins and losses go and no repeat to the playoffs.  but i think for most of us it wasnt unexpected either. 

on the other hand i think we all agree that we  are watching  a team that is growing in the right direction at last.  and what a joy it is to see regardless of the  win and loss record.

at long last are we finally over the in and out lieing to your face head coachs. it is like a breath of fresh air to hear  tony talk and to be able to really take what he says to the bank.  i believe he will be one of the greats and when i am 90  and look more like a prune  then a person we will  have him rank right up there with shula and dan. i just feel it down deep in my soul  lol course i  have been wrong before.

 yep had to take my soul out and smack it around a little when it thought  ole nicky boy was gonna  be the answer to our turn around.. boy was it wrong then. either that or i just had really bad gas that day.

but i got to say if tony has done one thing right for me,, that is he has given me hope that we will once more be the elite team we once was.

now is it  sooo refreshing to see draft picks that actually help our team.  again hats off to the FO for doing a bang up job.

once more JT is no longer a fin. *sigh* as much as i respected him i am really feeling his heart is not really into  the game any longer.  he is not playing for the love of the sport but for the pay check.

which brings me to one of my biggest grips with the nfl players today.. what the HELL ever happend to loyalty?? being proud to be on a team regardless of the dollars.  these guys make millons and they still  want more.

i remember when i only made 12k a year and supported a family of five  off it.  ya know if i could play for the fins i would do it for free and i would die a fin.  so for me putting the dollar above your pride is truely a sad day .

Howdy fellers! yep it is me your friendly Ole hillbilly back from the dead. dang near anyway.  not sure if ya folks remeber  me much i had only just started posting here just after the 2008 season.

sorry for missing this season with you guys. but ya see just off the highway two beer trucks got into a wreck [ hides the oil cans under the porch] and well it has been a very long party.

kidding aside.  some sorry %$#$ moron had, had to much to drink and slammed into me.  so  to  make a long story short it put me out for while.  but hay i am ok now, lived thru it, got a few new scars and am a bit uglier then i already was.  but all and all i am grateful to be able to come back and see this site still going strong. 

a word of advice if your gonna drink  STAY THE HELL OUT OF A CAR!!!  the life you risk is not only yours ok.

so anyhoo enough about that.  i see things took some pretty interresting turns last season.  {still reading up on all the info so give me a few days to get caught up}

welp another week has gone by and some interesting things have come to pass..

first thing that comes to mind is the young woman who accused big ben of sexual harrasment.. which has now become rape.  first things first.. she DID NOT report it to the police.. she just filed a civil suit for the hefty sum of  over 400k  now i dont know how things work in the big city..but i have to say here in the hills i have been around  enough hog pins to know when something smells.  i kept an open mind in thinking ben could have done what the girl claims he done.  but this is starting to look an awful  lot like gold digging to me.  i think is she wasnt going after such a large sum of money i would be more  apt to believe her side of the story.

now  for mister tom brady and mister bush..  i have one thing to say to both of you.. WHAT THE SAM HILL BLAZES ARE YOU THINKING????  i mean good lord guys  to dump those two smoken hot chicks?? i hate to break it to ya but is screams GAYNESS!!! on both of ya's parts.  and tommmy to dump her a day before her birthday?? god dude ya could have waited like a week at least. hell you bypassed the mandatory birthday humping.  as stupid as that is  and the pats think you are going to take them to the big game  lol  not likely buddy.  anyone who would pass up free birthday sex can not take you all the way.

and glory be have we FINALLY heard the last of farve watch??  now if they would only shut up about vick we could all sleep at night again.

and finally we come to this new fangled thing called twitter.. we find out it has been hacked.. and we also find out that  teams are jumping on the bandwagon in not allowing it to be used during practic.. i sometimes wonder what the powers that be are thinking? i mean for one.. take the dolphins practic. over 3000+ folks showed up to view it.. dont ya think that at least one of bellychick's spys could be in there if he wanted to put one there?  what ya gonna do frisk 3000 people.   i picture bill leaning over and whispering in tony's ear.. then tony snaps his fingers and a army of thugs  pours through the crowd taking away all cells phones, pda's, and blackberry's.  they reason it is to keep game day secrets from other teams. ummm  maybe they didnt notice that they practic outside.  ever heard of a satalite?  yo ugot something you dont want other teams to see aint that what they make the practic bubble for?

welp as camp  draws very near and who here is not excited about just to get to talk some real football. i happend to check out the new rankings from fox.. so i thought i would share them with you

they took at look at running backs. recievers, o-lines, and QB's  so i am going to give my two sence to them

ok starting with running backs.

they put our RB's at number 10..ok i think it is about time someone saw how good  the ronnie/ricky express is. and at leaast  the pats wasnt any where in the top 10. pantwhers took the number one spots..ehhh well ok i wil give that they do have a pretty good rushihng attack.   but i certainly dont think the cowboys should be in the top ten or the jets for that matter..

next up was recievers..

they put as near the bottom.. at 29  ok what the hell is this.. ya sure our recivers are not big names or have one hot shot buy.. but come ON 29.. at least when our guys was thrown the ball they caught it..we had very few dropped balls last y year.. our guys are not big names but they got the job done when it came to them.. so to fox is say in big bold words " SUCK IT YOU HAVE NO CLUE" 

ok now up is the oline

they put us at 15 ..................15??? we had the fewest sacks then any one last year.. what the heck?? our top pick proved his is a great  linemen.. jake long rocks  and i love that guy.. yes granted we did have some dept problems but all and all i think our o line did a fine job.. but to put the jets o line that  pisses me off.. i think our o line put them in the dirt.. again fox look at the recivers comment at the end... it applys here as well.

last up was the QB's

they put  chap  at 13...what???? 13... you have got to be kidding me.. he had a sterrler year last year.. one if the best rankings..the fewest interceptions.. the best passer rating... the fewest turnovers.. and all he gets is a 13  my god man what kinda writers do you have on that site?? and if you use some sort of panel hid away in a room.. i say get them dumb asses out to see a real football game..geeezesss what more do he have to do to get any respect??  i mean hells bells they put brady at number six and they didnt even play last year... stop smoking the crack pipe fox.. that is just retarted.  they even put romo and trent edwartds over him.......beed u say more about the morons at fox??? jesss guys get a grip and really take a look at  the games played... did you even watch any football last year.. cause if you did your brains must have shrunk and you totally forgot who did what..  my biggest gripe is putting tom above us when he wasnt even playing last year..
