Not every Cowboys fan is a jerk, even if from New Jersey:
Rest in peace, trooper. America remembers you and your family.
Which is Worse? Losing to the 'Pokes or Negadelphians being right? Poll
Bonus points for an answer to this: What's a good term for the opposite of "Focus and Finish"? I mean, aside from "Philadelphia Eagles." And let's not contemplate this, horror of all: What if these 'Boys go and collect a ring!?
I might demonstrate an unfortunate form of "focus and finish" (Keith Brookings knows this phrase well, by and by). Well, at least one good thing comes of it. We didn't see Donovan smiling so excessively much, did we?
America's team? "America's Team"?!
I encountered this brilliant remark at philly.com, the Daily News' John Smallwood thoroughly overreacts to Sunday's beatdown and now suddenly the 'Pokes are better in all phases of the game than the 'Igs. Nonsense. Nick Cole and Max Jean-Gilles are getting more repetitions in and they'll be fine in the upcoming tilt.
We gonna sting they asz. But I digress.
This silly comment appeared under the whimpering article, and it irked me so I have to call attention to it:
Posted 10:13 AM, 01/05/2010 BigTex10Cowboys will win this weekend 34-14. Don't Mess With Texas, Boys. We are not only Texas' team but we are AMERICA'S Team. It's downright un-patriotic to root against the Cowboys

Giants vs Saints- Who are you rooting for?
It's the marquee NFL game of the week, what with the Eagles playing the beyond pathetic Raiders.
Now, maybe it's because I grew up in an era when the Eagles and the Giants both were pitiful doormats (so were the Redskins, for that matter) and don't have the ingrained animosity the rest of you feel toward the G-Men and their fans- folks my age tend to feel like they were fellow sufferers- but I calculate I very much have a horse in the race when the Giants play in New Orleans Sunday at 1 pm... and it's New York.
The Eagles need the Giants to hang a loss on the Saints since we sadly lost the head to head tilt with them (our single loss at this point). As to the Giants, well, the Eagles still have the capacity to hang two defeats on them.
So, counting on the Eagles to take care of their own business from here on out (No More Stupid Penalties) I feel I gotta' say Go 'Jints! Beat the 'Aints!
Eagles complete practice squad
The Eagles finished off their practice squad, adding three players who played with them throughout the preseason and signing linebacker Jeremy Leman, who was with Carolina throughout the preseason.
Joining Leman on the practice squad are fullback Marcus Mailei, (safety) Reshard Langford and cornerback Jack Ikegwuonu.
Oh, happy day JIBTA! Me, I'm glad Mailei cleared waivers too. In fact, they managed to get every one I was hoping for, I even expect big things from TE Rob Myers. I like this club and gosh darn it I'm ready for some football!
Tight End Rodney Hannah, ex-Cowboy
Here's the guy the Dallas fans don't want us to have; he's been given his release, and according to one source Rodney Hannah is a guy the Eagles were looking at. 6'6, 258 lbs. Athletic, too: he was a sponsored skateboarder in high school and a college basketball player. He's from Kevin Kolb's alma mater, an undrafted free agent in '07 who spent two years on the practice squad. At his size he should be able to block, but they're saying he's a pass catcher (caught a 22-yarder for a TD against the Titans this preseason). Read the fan comments attached to the links; one poster thinks he'll go to the Patriots and become an All-Pro! In any event, they want him away from the NFC East.
