Just wanted to check and see if anyone has heard any updates on Chris Snelling's condition. He was disabled about a month ago with knee inflammation, and it sounded like more tests were going to be done. After all his injuries, he's been a guy I've kept an eye on, hoping he'd have some sort of MLB career. Here's hoping we'll be seeing him back in the pinstripes soon.................

According to Rotoworld, the Phils have signed Rudy Seanez. He'll apparently be activated in time for tomorrow night's game, with Rotoworld speculating that the Phils will offer Tim Lahey back to the Twins. I'm guessing it's more likely that Wes Helms' departure just got accelerated by a few days.

Per Comcast SportsNet, here it is:

Pitchers
Antonio Alfonseca; Clay Condrey; Tom Gordon; Cole Hamels; Kyle Kendrick; Kyle Lohse; Jose Mesa; Jamie Moyer; Brett Myers; J.C. Romero

Catchers
Rod Barajas; Chris Coste; Carlos Ruiz

Infielders
Greg Dobbs; Wes Helms; Ryan Howard; Tadahito Iguchi; Abraham Nunez; Jimmy Rollins; Chase Utley

Outfielders
Michael Bourn; Pat Burrell; Aaron Rowand; Shane Victorino; Jayson Werth

I'd probably prefer Geary over Alfonseca, although, for all the bludgeonings he's taken lately, Alf does keep the ball in the yard, which can't hurt at Coors. I suspect Geary's in if they didn't need Barajas..........

Cole Hamels to debut Friday

According to phillies.com and the Inquirer, Cole Hamels will make his big-league debut Friday, starting against the Reds. Ryan Madson shifts to the bullpen. I know it's easy to expect too much from a young guy right away, but I've been looking forward to this since Cole struck out Jeter, A-Rod, and Tony Clark in that inning in Tampa...........
