My name is Ryan Blight, and I have been an editor for Arctic Ice Hockey since the Winnipeg Jets 2.0 came back to the River City. Prior to that, I was a contributor to Nucks Misconduct as the Manitoba Moose (AHL) blogger. I have proudly watched AIH grow by leaps and bounds every season since the return of the Jets, but am not willing to sugarcoat what I see occurring on the ice or in the boardroom. Avid fan of #fancystats and season-ticket holder since the Jets returned.

Sports & Health Editor of "The Manitoban" student newspaper at the University of Manitoba in 2003-04. Contributed to the Maple Street Press Jets Annual in 2011.

The Jets managed to overcome some poor defence and leaky goaltending by taking advantage of worse defence and worse goaltending in defeating the Avalanche 5-4 in overtime.

Recap: Jets lose to the Blues, require green booze

Despite tying up the game early in the third, a bad bounce on the PK and a pair of empty-netters sealed the fate of the Jets on the evening, and likely on their season.

Preview: Jets go dancing with the Stars

The Jets trail Dallas by six points and also give up two-games in hand. While playoff chances remain extremely remote, a win tonight is a must.

Recap: Jets bend the knee to Kings in 3-1 defeat

The post-deadline, no-Scheifele edition of the 2013-14 Winnipeg Jets got off to a miserable start, as the Kings had their way with the boys in double blue all night in an embarrassing display.

The Stretch Drive

With 22 games left in the season, and only 3 of them left before the Trade Deadline, the Winnipeg Jets head into the stretch drive with plenty of question marks from where I sit.

The three-game road trip did not get off to good start after losing to the Sens in regulation. With afternoon games in Boston and Pittsburgh this weekend, the odds of a successful trip just plummeted.
