PFF"s "All-Available FA" team

1

RT Sean Locklear (SEA): If you want a pass blocking right tackle, then Locklear is your guy. He allowed an average of 1.5 pressures a game – an excellent mark – but like most available linemen, his age is a concern. LILB Channing Crowder (MIA): He’s a very consistent run stopper with a +1.2 rating or better against the run in eight of his 11 games last year. ROLB Matt Roth (CLE): He didn’t end the season well by any measure, but in the first half, he showed he could be an elite pass rusher and run stopper. It’s rare for a 3-4 OLB to be both, so his potential is high. Lcoklear sounds like an intriguing option as a 1-2 season RT while Hairston develops. Having a RT who can pass block will be very important in the spread, especially because we won't have to keep a TE in the game to help chip and block. It may help us get more of our dangerous WR's on the field at once.

Interesting Trade Scenario

I'm going to start this off immediately by acknowledging that it is very unlikely, and I know without a CBA there are no player trades allowed, but lets have some fun...  Carolina takes Cam Newton...

Narrowing Down the Bakers Dozen

With less than a month until the draft it may be time to take a look at the Bakers Dozen and separate the ‘contenders’ from the ‘pretenders’… To do so, I modified a ranking system to evaluate the...

Pat Kirwan evaluates Jake Locker, compares him to Steve Young coming out of college. Cites him as a good fit for a team that can sit him a year and says he should be a late first round pick.

Getting inside the heads of CHIX- are we in for a surprise come draft day?

Lets say, for a moment, the Bills don't see a guy they consider a franchise QB that is worth taking in the first two rounds (or the guy they liked is gone at #3). The natural assumption is that...

If Jake Locker is the guy what are our options?

Jake Locker is my target if were planning on taking a QB in the first two rounds. Cam is too risky at #3, Gabbert has done nothing to show me he is worthy of being the guy at #3, Ponder does not...

Can Fairley play the 5-technique?

http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-combine/09000d5d81e7bbb7/Film-study-Fairley-and-Dareus I have never really considered Fairley a great fit for our defense. Our biggest need on the DL, in my opinion,...

Jake Locker will be a top 15 pick

Early in the draft process many believed Locker could still be an early first round pick, and some here even believed he was worthy of the Bills taking at #3... Then came the senior bowl, and...

Paul Soliai- Worth the money?
