I love baseball and everything Mets. I have been a Met fan since I was little, Yankees rubbed me the wrong way even before I knew what an RBI was. I have been a diehard who hates missing a single game since I tuned in to watch John Olerud hit a cycle when I was 10. He was my favorite Met at first, but Piazza my favorite player at the time and then the next season he became my favorite Met and player, so he will always be my favorite player and I do not believe he ever did steroids.
I also like to root for the Giants, Rangers and Knicks (and technically Lakers cause of my dad and grandpa); or generally, correctly played and refereed games. I especially enjoy soccer with a beer at a bar.

The D&D brothers (nerds - name those real 'nerds' bodies I stole for the consolation of being first! at something) will help us overcome this tough matchup vs the Brewers top 2 pitchers!

Off day 2012 Mets SSS
Wanted to get my dose of Mets during the off day, so I thought I would look on Fangraphs and Baseball-reference for some impressively good or bad early SSS Mets stats. If you haven't read this by the start of the Giants series, how much has the SSS changed?

Mets to have 5 of the first 107 picks in this draft
First round pick is 12, then they get the 35th and 71st for losing Jose, the 75th in the second round, 107th in the 3rd, 140th in the 4th and the 12th pick in every round thereafter

Given Tejada's ST HR 'binge', we can be sure he has finally added some muscle to that small frame of his, but what is the limit?

Captain's log, stardate 4612.7: I received my first promotion to the Enterprise Mets last night. Though this isn't a permanent situation, I intend to make the most of it. I wanted to make a good impression to the spiritual leader, Lord RA Dickey, so I had this statue made in his honor and am about to give it to him; I hope he likes it.

A plea for patience
This is not at all a plea for patience, be however worked up about this team as you want, just seemed like a nice title. I will also be discussing why I have patience and still look forward to these stars on the Knicks next year. I don’t think MDA can come back after this year, or know if he would want to, unless something magical happens to finish the season. But, regardless of whether we get a new coach, I want this team together for a full off/pre-season and then at least half of a real season to see what can be made of them. This has been the most batshit crazy season, for the Knicks especially, and I really doubt any coach could have this team doing or looking any better with all the shit that has gone down. Pardon my french in this article, and that it possibly includes poor switching between tenses here or there.

Joe P at it again. Don't think this was in the applesauce, if so, sorry...but it's funny!
A much needed improvement from my 'efforts' last night after the game. Need more action and full body shots for a real good one, but still fun!!

Thoughts on the new Marlins stadium
This was going to be a comment reacting to the size of that Marlins atrocity that supposedly has to do with hitting homeruns, but after looking up info on the stadium and getting out more thoughts I figured: what the heck, there haven't been enough fanposts on AA lately and maybe we can discuss some of the other poorly designed aspects of the new stadium. I was actually trying to work on other stuff, but kept coming back to this over-sized atrocity in my mind. To the jump!

Good news everybody! No Cody Ross to the Mets
Now we don't have to grit our teeth and pretend to like that guy, or even see him unless we tune in to watch "the biggest rivalry in sports *bullshit*" or, more likely, a Tim Wakefield start
Give Melo some patience
People are being way too critical of Melo and his perceived disinterest in team ball. Even if he is missing too many shots right now, we knew this would be his game and most of us still wanted him. It's not like the guy doesn't take the blame for sucking or hasn't made an effort to improve his passing and overall defensive effort.

Rocker roided - surprised?
I just thought this was funny, 'roid rage much? It also links to the SI article he was in from 10 years ago, which is pretty funny (or very pathetic) itself if you haven't read it before. Not what he is saying exactly, but that he said it and that he probably thought people would agree with him and possibly like him for it. Also, the SI article has comments people posted on rockersucks.com.
Joke is on you buddy, and NY got the final laugh, again.
Tim McCarver wins award for lifetime mediocrity
The first sentence sums up my problem with him winning this award best:
Tim McCarver found it a bit hard to offer any analysis after this honor.
Sounds about right
Turns out Jose Reyes WAS shy about getting photographed nude, so he had RA Dickey take his place and had ESPN ps his face onto RA's great body.

First September Call-ups
First ones to get the cup o' Joe are Josh Satin and Josh Stinson. Thoughts?
He won FSL pitcher of the year honors today, an awesome accomplishment for someone on nobodies prospect radar coming into this year. Doing his best Reagan impersonation for his Time photo.

This is my Dudarino PS. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Dudarino PS is my best friend. It is my life. I must master PS as I must master my life. Without me, my Dudarino PS is useless. Without my Dudarino PS, I am useless. I must PS the Dudarino true. I must paintz the A straighter than my enemy, who is trying to out-PS me. I must PS him before he PS me. I will. Before God I swear this creed: my Dudarino PS and myself are defenders of AA, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, but champtionships. RAmen.

Awesome BP
Awesome video of a guy doing endless batting practice.
The Mets definitely got a snakebite problem, so they hired these snake exterminators to at least destroy the Diamondbacks. Show the NL West what a bunch of pussies they really are!
