OT: Harrington Traded to Knicks

The Warriors pick up Jamal Crawford from the Knicks in a swap for Al Harrington. I like the deal. What do you guys think? The Warriors have drafted two clones of Harrington in the last two years (well one in a trade pick and then the draft last year) so it makes him a little more expendable. Crawford is an up tempo guy who is a play maker. It will make the Warriors pretty exciting to watch.

.500 I think not!

I'm not sure if someone already posted this link.

After last night's win over Texas, I started to have a glimmer of hope that our A's could finish at a .500 record, but the powers that be decided otherwise as the A's will not be making up their game against Baltimore. It makes perfect sense to cancel the game, but how sweet would it have been to finish the year at .500.

Today--It's over! Stockton takes home the crown. If you told me this would happen in the beginning of the year, I wouldn't have been surprised, but if you told me they would do it without four of the starters that began the year (cahill and anderson promoted mid-season, de los santos injured, Fernandez to the pen) I would have had a tough time believing it. Good work Stockton!

Three Stars:

1. Carter 3B 3-5 2R, 2HR, 5RBI

2. Donaldson C 2-4 R, 3B BB, K

3. Horton SS 3-4 R, RBI, BB

Pitching:

Hernandez, C 5.1 6 1 1 2 4 0 0.79
Currin (W, 2-1) 2.2 3 0 0 0 2 0 5.73
Demel 1.0 2 2 2 0 0 0 2.57

Hernandez is looking good and Horton is making a case for himself as a legit prospect. Not too much power or range at SS, but he could be a serviceable as a second baseman (not like we have many of those). Carter is a monster.

9/12 Minor Athletics (Playoff Edition)

It is awesome to see the young guys succeeding in the lower levels. Hopefully the taste of winning will continue as they move up the system. I know when Huddy, Mulder, and Zito were in the minors, Billy emphasized the importance of winning down there in order to get that winning experience ready for Oakland. Well, here are the results from the last two games.

I'm not sure what is going on with Denorfia but the guy is a hitting machine. Buck and Gonzalez are trying to prove the belong and doing a good job showing it. Sacto showed some good power. I envy it as an A's fan.

I know I will be crucified for saying this, but I believe Lansford should get another look at SP. I know we are stacked and he struggled in his attempt early this year and last year, but he has shown better control and he is still very young. I think it is tough to label a guy a middle or long reliever at the age of 21. I would agree with a lot of people that Mazzaro will be trade bate this off season.

Hey there guys. Still in Baltimore, man this city is beautiful. So, I'll just post the entire box score and allow you, the view, to make judgement.

I wish we could just remember last nights game for Stockton's performance rather than having to show this disgusting line. We were spanked and now the series in the PCL is tied. <<<<<WARNING>>>>>> Do not view until after thirty minutes of your last meal, on the off chance you throw up.
