I was impressed with Cahill, especially later on in the game. Hopefully he can use this as a confidence booster. Key stat: 0 bases on balls. That's huge.

AZL: Lost 10-5. Josh Leyland went 1-2 with 2 runs and 2 walks. Affinito, the undrafted free agent from the east coast continued his hot hitting, raking in 2 hits. He's batting .339 on the year.



DSL watch: Our Dominic team won off the hot hitting of young (not sure if 20 is young for the DSL league) catcher Reynaldo Mateo. He's batting .398 in 33 grames with a nice 18:18 BB:K ratio. Someone to continue to monitor

I'm back from Vegas with 16 extra bucks in my pocket due to an excellent three runs in the bottom of the ninth. Thanks to Raj for keeping all of us informed on the minor leagues. I'm infatuated with his formatting, so hopefully we will keep it pretty similar. Here are the results from Tuesday.

7/28 Minor Athletics Rivercats are no-hit

Totally sorry about the delay in posting. I've been in the process of moving and blah blah blah...I've been following very closely the trade rumors and am really interested to see if any more moves are made by the A's in the next two days. I like that I'm hearing the A's might be keeping Wuertz. Let's see how the little guys did last night.
