Some NHL scouts have gotten together and put together mock drafts. One by an eastern conference scout, and one by a western conference scout. It's not the way many of us thought it would shake out. The western scout has us taking Jared Cowen at #3. Of course we can still move to #2. The eastern scout has us taking Evander Kane at #3. I just don't think either of these guys is the best player for the pick. It really shows how scouts opinions differ on players. Jared Cowen our #3 pick from the west scout is #10 for the east scout.

Here's my look at the potential top 10 prospects for this years draft. With the Ti4T watch, I thought I would see who we might be able to pick depending on how the rest of the season goes. Adam Schefter is reporting on NFL.com that the broncos have reached an agreement with DT Ron Fields formerly of the 49ers. Hopefully he will bring a run stopping presence that this team desperately needs.

Schefter - Denver has been more active than anyone — and continues to be. It reached agreement Monday with former 49ers DT Ronnie Fields on a two-year deal worth $5 million. Fields will be reunited with his former head coach Mike Nolan, now Denver’s defensive coordinator.
