So far this season the Avs have done a pretty good job staying competitive in games against some pretty tough opponenets.  It'll be interesting to see how they perform tomorrow night in Toronto against the struggling Leafs.  The Maple Leafs will meet the Rangers tonight and could remain win-less through the first five games of the season for the first time in many years.

While Colorado's record may suggest otherwise (3-1-1), they haven't looked entirely sharp for a full 60 minutes...and have been getting hammered in the shots on goal category particularly in the third period. (A credit to great goaltending from Anderson) However, if there's any reason for optimism this season it will come from winning crucial divisional games and beating other teams that they "SHOULD" be beating. 

It's a tough opening month schedule wise for the boys opening against some of the leagues projected best. I'll be down at the A-C-C cheering them on in what should be an impressive performance....or at least a game in which they can out-shoot the opposition.

Avs over the Leafs? It should happen...and if this team is going to make a statement...it has too.
