I know there are several attorneys on this board. So I'm hoping to get some free advice. 

This friend lives in Galveston. And, I have known her, and her family, for over 10 years. She was arrested on a 3rd degree felony. Her family was able to post her bail yesterday. 

Now, she is trying to secure representation. But, it seems the DA's office has frozen her bank accounts. Not only making it hard for her to hire an attorney, but also pay her bills.

The complainant is also her employer. So, not only does she not have access to her bank accounts. Her now former employer is refusing to give her her final paycheck.

I know there are also a lot of skeptics, here. But, trust me, this woman doesn't have a dishonest bone in her body. She may like to toke every now and again. But, she would never, and I mean never, take anything that doesn't belong to her.

So, I guess what I'm asking is:

1) How can she go about getting her accounts released?

2) If that is impossible, how, and when, will she be able to request a court appointed attorney?

The Rangers have DFA'd LHP JAson Jennings, and purchased the contract of OKC Redhawk Pedro Strop. Strop has been placed on the 40-man. By designating Jennings, that leaves the 40-man at 39.

     TR Sullivan was just on XM Radio's Home Plate Channel. He confirmed that for tonight's game Andruw Jones will get the start at First base. While it is no suprise anout Blalock, I didn't expect that Davis would be out.

     He also opined that if Holland pitches well, that McCarthy would most likely be the odd man out. Of course it made wonder if a) he goes to the bullpen, and if so b) Benson is finally DFA'd .
