30 minutes, 3rd inning.  I am pleased.

I'd be more pleased if we could take the lead.

He's got a bum ankle and he's already slow as heck.  If LaRue isn't to be used in situations like this, they might as well let him go keep Brad Thompson company.

Colby hits a homerun = 50 comments = need for another overflow

Also, scoring 11 runs is the best way to help us forget who tonight's starter was.

It's 1-0 in the 1st.  Those other 4 innings didn't happen as far as I'm concerned.

Community FYI

A couple of notes:

  1. Don't feed trolls.  Or at least feed them pie rather than verbal barbs and incessant profanity.
  2. Profanity.  I'm the last robot in the world that wants to bring the hammer down on occasional profanity . . . but mayhaps it could be more occasional.
  3. Happy note -- you'll notice the addition of two links on the left hand side of the site.  After some biblical proportion gnashing of teeth, there's a link to both the Fanpost Guidelines and the VEB Glossary on the main page now.  Hopefully, this will help preclude extend threads rehashing rules.

Happy Wednesday.  If the Cardinals go 17-5 (.772 W%), they can finish out with a 100 win season.

Also, the Cardinals AAA and AA affiliates with start their playoff seasons tonight.  Jaime Garcia throws for Memphis and Trey Hearne gets the nod for Springfield, per Jeff Luhnow's tweets.

I do not like this umpire.

Albert bats in the 9th.

Post game party in this thread too!

. . . and it makes TLR angry.

That game is called "every game".

For one day at least, Ryan Ludwick in 2009 looked like Ryan Ludwich in 2008. Albert looked like, well, Albert. Skip looked good; Didn't play so well but looked good. (AP Photo/Nam Y. Huh)

This thread to finish this game off and keep everyone content till tomorrow.  One step closer to 100 wins, I hope.
