Jake Locker still a Huskie

Apparently Locker is staying at Washington for his senior year, mainly because he doesn't have to worry about losing money from the NFL, because he already has a $300,000 bonus from signing with the Angels.

Maybe he'll decide baseball is his calling after passing up a potential top-10 selection in the NFL draft this year. We can only hope!

The Travs will be well represented in the AA All-star game with 6. Peter Bourjos (OF) and Hank Conger (C) were voted in as starters, and Nate Sutton (UTIL) received a bench spot. On the pitching side, starters Trevor Bell and Trevor Reckling, along with reliever Bobby Mosebach were selected..

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Vladimir Guerrerosaid Friday he is a year older than his listed birth date, joining hundreds of players from the Dominican Republic who faked their ages when signing their first contracts with major-league teams.

I guess this could explain some of the "aging" theories we all had about Vlad, but hey, at least its only a difference between 33 and 34, and not 4 years like that kid from the Nationals.

It also says later in the article that the Angels were actually aware of this, and will be changing it in this years media guide.

Anybody think that this will effect Vlad's performance this year? I honestly don't, I think Vlad is gonna be Vlad and put up some monster numbers this year..

let's hope that he can actually find some at-bats while he's up here this time. i'll be honest, i'm kind of happy to see the kid back up, however weird it seems to me to shorten our infield depth at the moment.

on the other side of it, Brown goes back to AAA after collecting his first major league hit, with a 2-run double in the bottom of the 9th to make up for last nights game.
