Has anybody gone out to pick this up yet? I have a 360 and picked my copy up yesterday but hadn't got a chance to play just yet. I see they have some improvements here & there but the thing I'm most interested in is the Online Leagues. If anyone is interested maybe we can throw together a big league together with a bunch of us in it. Pick & Roll defense = Achilles Heel

After watching most of the games the past few months I have noticed that our pick & roll defense is absolutely horrible! Our first big win since the Jason Kidd trade came because we made a simple adjustment... insert Devean George to better defend the pick & roll. Now I’m not saying that George is the answer but something does need to be corrected. To break it down...

Why we can’t stop the pick & roll? That’s very simple. The guy guarding the screener does not come out far enough to stop the ball... most people refer to this as “hedging” the pick. In most cases Eric Dampier is the culprit behind this. What ends up happening is the screen is set at the top of the key and Dampier is usually at the free throw line on his heels waiting for something to happen. From here that leaves a free lane for the point guard or whoever to do whatever needs to be done. Usually this consists of going right to the rim or if Dampier does decide to step up (which is usually late) then the lob pass at the rim to the guy who is rolling. The next scenario is pretty much the same because if one of the other 3 guys decides to help on the point guard driving then this leaves someone wide open for a shot. With the point guard driving down the middle of the lane he has the whole court open to do whatever he needs to do.

Solution? Hedge the damn pick!! This will stop the easy scores on the defensive end and therefore lead to more fast break points. Well I think that is all for now, I apologize for any grammatical errors I’ve made as I didn’t get a chance to proof read while I’m at work.

Vince Young arrogant?

As of late i have heard a lot of people saying that Vince Young is arrogant or at least comes off as arrogant.. I am just curious as to why people think that is.

So i need to burn a little more space on this diary, so what are some of your thoughts on the cowboys? I live in the Dallas area and I think they aren't as good as THEY think they are. Also, I'm not totally sold on Wade Phillips.

Titans fan from Texas here

Like many titans fans that aren't from the nashville area, i was pretty bummed about not being able to watch a lot of the titans games on television. I have actually been following this site for about the last year or so and found myself slowly leaving the cowboys fan base and joining the Titans fan base. I've been a Vince Young fan since i can remember.

To those of you that aren't from the nashville area and would like to watch the Titans game via the computer there are actually a few options. Directtv has a new thing called Superfan or Supercast which allows you to watch all the game's that would be on NFL Sunday Ticket on your computer from anywhere in the world. The only catch to that is that you must have the NFL Sunday ticket in order to get the computer package. Well luckily one of my friends was kind enough to get the package for me which is only $99 for the season.

There is also an alternative method which i found about the 2nd week of the season. This one is basically the same thing as peer 2 peer file sharing but done via slingboxes.

So as it stands now i am a very happy titans fan getting to watch all the games now... given via the world wide web it could be worse. Well i'm usually never this long winded but i am happy to have written my first diary. If you want anymore info just PM me, i don't want to violate any type of rules within the website.
