Canes Country Kitchener Rangers fan wants to know if Murphy will stick

Hi Canes Fans...

I last posted about this time a year ago when it looked like our Rangers superstar Skinner may make your team. That worked out pretty well for you guys!  And really hurt our team in the OHL season.

It feels like deja vu all over again with Ryan Murphy. Although not of the same caliber as Skinner, we hear he is making quite the impression at your camp and in exhibition games.

Although I wish Murphy the best in his quest for an NHL job, the purely selfish Jr. hockey fan in me says he is not ready for the NHL and needs another year in Jr.

What do you 'Canes fans think?  Will he break camp with the big club or will he be sent back to Kitchener?  We would love to hear from the folks who are actually in the know:  The 'Canes fans!

Canes Country Resigned to the fact Skinner won't be back

Damn that Jeff Skinner!  He teases us last year with 50 goals. First Ranger to do so in decades.  Then has a ridiculously good playoff, almost single handedly taking us to the Conference final.  Then he goes and gets himself drafted in the top 7..AND has a heck of a camp so the big club doesn't really have much choice but to keep him. geez.....

'Canes fans, your huge gain is our huge loss....we Rangers fans just saw our great chances of making a Memorial Cup run reduced significantly...don't get me wrong - we are thrilled for Skinner and thrilled for you guys who get to watch him for 40+ games....but this is one sad Kitchener Rangers fan (.....I will get over it!).

Now I have to get me one of those 'Canes jerseys with #53 and wear is proudly to our Ranger games!

Great luck to you this season!

Canes Country Skinner update - from your Kitchener Rangers fan

Hey everyone in 'Canes country...

As a Kitchener Rangers season ticket holder, I wanted to give everyone a quick update on Skinner based on Friday night's exhibition game.

Many fans came out to see both Skinner and Jeremy Morin as there is a possibility we may not see either of them again in a Rangers uniform.

Both were dominant but Skinner regularly controlled the play with his skill and poise.  He has that tremendous nose for the net and his balance is really very, very good (figure skating will do that to a guy).  His line had 4 goals and 10 pts in a 8-3 win.  He never stopped smiling!  You guys are just gonna love him!  He picked up where he left off last season.

Obviously we are hoping that he impresses at your camp BUT that he is sent back for 1 more year of junior so we can make a run for the Memorial Cup.
