Seeking Local Knowledge
My son and I are headed to Cleveland from Central Pennsylvania next Tuesday and Wednesday for our annual baseball trip; we try to see a couple new parks every year. So I've read about all I can read online, but now am looking for some local knowledge concerning Jacobs Field. Can anybody give me recommendations on the following:
Parking around the stadium
Is there anyplace around the stadium to eat before the game
Things in the area we should see during the afternoon
We like to get to the park early, watch BP and explore. Anything specifically we should be looking for. I've read about Heritage Park.
Wednesday night we plan on seeing the Aeros in Akron. Same questions apply.
Thanks.
B. J. Ryan
I was listening to the Blue Jay broadcast on XM last night (yeah, I know. why?) and they made the comment that B.J. after being released by the Jays this summer, signed a minor league contract with the Cubs. The Cubs have apparently now released him, as well, and the Toronto announcers made the comment that his career is probably over. Not certain what the medical diagnosis is, but not so sure about that comment. He's not too old and left-handed, so after some duct tape and chicken wire, it wouldn't surprise me to see him back somewhere, someday.
