Roll 'Bama Roll Quick Questions

Who at this point appears that they will not qualify? I know there was like 4 or so guys the last time I checked, And since then Sentimore is in very good shape to pass through, I can't remember who exactly was listed, But I do know there was quite a few guys who could come in and compete for playing time, If I'm right I think Rod Woodson was on the list also.

Roll 'Bama Roll Easy Question

I'm suprised nobody has asked this question yet, And if you have sorry I missed it. But ok here we go, Who does everyone think will make the biggest impact as a true Freshman as well as a  RS Freshman, And I guess we could throw James Carpenter into the discussion since he is a newcomer to the team, It's all up in the air to me, Trent Richardson could have a huge impact, But w/ us having enough talent at the RB spot to get by do we RS him, That comes down to whether or not Upchurch is 100% whent he season starts, And btw I seen our roster the other day on rivals and it has Kerry Murphy listed as a Freshman, and he's been trying to get into Bama for what like 3 yrs now, All I can think of is that he didn't play at Hargrave, Anyone else know anything about him, Well he could also make an impact for us.

Roll 'Bama Roll OK....

There's been alot of chatter about the future of Alabama football, Yes we had a great season but ran out of gas at the end, All that will be fixed in the next 2 yrs or so, But for even the most die hard Bama saying some things that have been said are...well a little to much in a sense, And I'll admit that I've done it a few times, But for some fans to think that we will not lose to Auburn until Saban is gone or that we're gonna make a run for a NC this yr is just over the top to me, I will say that I think Saban will dominate Auburn during his tenure here and yea he will win a NC also, But we all know that anything can happen in college football, And yes we do have a very favorable schedule compared to teams like LSU and the other legit powers of the SEC, So I'm not saying that it's out of the question for us to do either, I mean nobody knew that we would go 12-0 during the regular season this past year, Point being is this, Some fans need actually sit back and chill and let Saban get all his players that he wants in first and give enough time so that all those players have some exp. before saying we're going to do this, we're going to do that, Now I will say that I expect atleast a 10-2 season dpending on how the O-line responds because once again we do have an easy schedule, If we get past VT in the opener which I think we will, We have no really tough teams until we get to the last part of the season, Let me know what you think.

And The Valley Shook WTF????

Since the '08 season was in the books, I've seen and heard so many Ole Miss fans tell not only Bama fans but also LSU fans to get ready to fall the "Mighty Rebels" as one fan said in a yahoo blog comment, So I want someone to please tell me exactly how a "decent" season at best all of a sudden means there's a new power team so to speak, My personal thoughts are this, For a team like Bama or LSU, Ole Miss's record in 08' would be far from good enough and they say that both the Bama and LSU faithful are cocky, I think LSU def. has a reason to be looking back at the past few yrs, And yes you do see a different swagger in the Bama faithful also, But we more reason than the Ole Miss faithful, We did go undefeated till' the SEC champ. game and that ugly showing in the Sugar Bowl, So am I the only one to say that the Ole Miss fans are a bit naive maybe even blind to alot of things, But I do expect Ole Miss to be coached the normal Houston Nutt way, an average record of 7-5 maybe every now and then a 8-4 or 9-3, But never on a yearly basis of beating both Bama and LSU.

And The Valley Shook What Will Happen In 09'?

Ok in college there will always be ?'s that are left on the table, For example LSU had bad 08' season, But what happens if Perriloux or however you spell his name was still with the team?Does LSU play for the SEC West?

What Will Happen In 09'?

1. Can Bama repeat and play for the SEC championship again?

2. Jordan Jefferson showed spark in LSU's bowl game, Does he lead LSU to the top again?

3. Will Houston Nutt get Ole Miss into the mix for the SEC West?

4. Can Florida make it 2 NC's in a row?

What To Look At.

1. Bama has to replace 3 OL and replace the QB spot.

2. Jefferson did good in the bowl, But how does he do facing the speed and talent of the SEC week in and week out?

3. Snead is a great QB, But will they fair after losing alot of key players? Does the class of 09' help out in the matter?

4. Florida is stacked but losing Harvin will make it a little tougher on Tebow and the supporting cast.

Positives.

1. The backups on the OL should be better in 09' after having time to adjust to the talent of the SEC, We won't know who the starters are until the start of the season but I'm sure it will be Freshman's or Sophmores, Also the QB spot should be ok, McElroy has shown he can throw the ball and having good RB's will take some pressure off him until he's ready to be a true leader, And the schedule is in Bama's favor this year.

2. Jefferson will have alot of playmakers around him to make his job a little easier, And the talent that is coming back should be enough to atleast put LSU back into the picture for not only a SEC champ. but maybe even a NC, It may be 2010 before this happens but we all know anyhting can happen in College Football.

3. Ole Miss has alot of talent returning on the offensive side of the ball,There's going to be ?'s on the defensive side, But overall they should get back to a bowl game, Not a big time bowl but they should be able to go bowlin'.

4. Once again Florida is stacked and they have alot of returning starters on both sides of the ball not to mention Tebow, Overall I think they take the East easily since there's nobody to challenge them for it this year.
