Les Miles' squad will also celebrate their 2011 SEC title, perhaps the most forgotten SEC title ever.
My "laugh out loud" moment of the day. I say it's great - to be - from ALABAMA!!!

Happy Thanksgiving and ROLL TIDE!!! This says it all.

Vote Julio Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week.
"RT @NFLhistory: #Falcons' WR @juliojones_11 is only NFL rookie since '70 with 50+ & 80+ TD catches in same game."
Vote Julio Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week.
There was one good thing that happened over the weekend. Julio had his first of many big games. We all thought Saturday night about how much we miss him. He's showing the NFL why. "RT @NFLhistory: #Falcons' WR @juliojones_11 is only NFL rookie since '70 with 50+ & 80+ TD catches in same game."
Side note - congrats to Marcell(as nose tackle) who won last week's vote.
Hard to believe this goofball is thought of as a good coach. If there is any justice in this world, reality is coming November 5th.

Now if we could just get Little Debbie to put script A's on their oatmeal pies.
Lady Gaga Rocking The Houndstooth
Never been a big fan, but you have to love her ensemble. Especially love the piano. The new song sounded pretty good too.
Literacy PSA featuring Greg, Mark, and Dont'a. Making us proud on and OFF the field!!!
Alabama's Favorite Cheerleader Sela Ward is now on CSI NY. Last night she had a "wish" for our beloved TIDE. From your lips Sela, from your lips...
Cool that the folks at CSI let her give her own personal feelings.
100th Straight For Gymnastics Over Auburn
Good news, bad news here. We didn't win the SEC Gymnastics Tourney, BUT "In the midst of posting its 20th top-2 finish at the SEC Championships Alabama also came away with its 100th win over the Auburn Tigers. " That's 100 IN A ROW, spanning over 30 years!!! Just AMAZING. Now if we could only do that in football. 2 down, 98 to go.
Roman interviewed in the locker room after the Super Bowl. I like the way the interview begins: "First Alabama wins the National Title..." Not a bad 2010 indeed.
A couple of side notes - 4 years in the NFL has put some serious gray in Roman's hair and his "man" was getting precariously close to Iverson's "practice".
Blueprint of a Championship
Fascinating read with lots of great quotes. First part of a 3 part series written by Tommy Deas, Executive Sports Editor of the Tuscaloosa News. It's an in depth look inside the "Process" and it comes with a MANUAL!!!
Utah practices to 'Sweet Home Alabama'
"One of the lessons is that UA players and fans shouldn't want their next opponent playing Alabama's unofficial anthem at the start of practice in 2010. It's an insult, and one well deserved if the loss could have been avoided by players and a fan base who took the opportunity to play in the Sugar Bowl as seriously as they should have."
MeanBobMean, this does NOT make me happy!!!
Javier Arenas Nominated for AFCA Good Works Team
Most people(except Pete) list Javy as one of their faves on the team and I'm one of them. Not only is he Alabama's career leader in punt return yards in a game, season and career, he is also an exemplary person.

A pic for the day in the countdown that kleph missed.
Tebow Haters Unite
Funny as hell web site.
"now I'm an Alabama man. This is my last stop 'til I go to the lake house and hang it up, and you can write that."
Coach Nick Saban
Great article from the bleacher report. I heart our coach.

Disclaimer - This will hurt your eyes
Tennessee should write a book and call it "How Hideous Do You Want To Be?". To take us through the off season, AlabamaGameday is doing a countdown of sorts - "110 Reasons We Hate The SEC". It's 10 reasons per team for our SEC rivals.
I'm asking for the second time...
Please Todd, for the love of Alabama, either update the softball schedule on the front page or take it off the page altogether. It looks silly as it is, and like you just don't care.
Also, everyone please keep voting for Brittany Rogers for the Lowe's Senior Class Award. Brittany is still ahead of Gator Stacey Nelson, but not by much - 22% to 20%.
"I refuse to let anybody run the ball, even though it’s our offense or our team," Cody said. "I refuse.."
Foretelling the future. I believe him.
ROLL TIDE!!!
Gymnastics Advances to the 2009 NCAA Super Six Team Finals
The SEC rules as 5 of the 6 teams in the finals hail from our conference - Alabama, Georgia, Florida, LSU, and Arkansas. MeanBobMean will be happy to know that Utah is the only non SEC team in the finals. Competition will be fierce. I would like Georgia's coach, Suzanne Yoculan, to end her career WITHOUT another national championship.
ROLL TIDE!!!
The Snake Is Not Coming Back
Official word has not been released yet, but the Bama Sports Report says it looks like we won't be hearing Kenny Stabler back at his color position with Eli Gold on the Crimson Tide Sports Network. Since I went to all the games except the first 3 when I was in Australia, I didn't hear any of the broadcasts in 2008. I'm sure they were good, but I will miss Kenny's good ole boy humor and laughter and just his obvious love of the TIDE.
Phil Savage has said he is interested in the job, so we'll see how he does on the A-Day broadcast. I won't hear that one either because I will be one of the hopefully 92,138 at the game. Michigan held their spring game yesterday and had a school record 50,000 show up. Before the game, Andy Reid of the Michigan Daily, wrote:
"Rich Rodriguez is doing all he can to raise excitement around the game, adding an alumni flag football game, a locker room tour and other gimmicks to the festivities. He wants to see at least 40,000 fans show up. His eventual goal is to break Alabama’s attendance record, and if Rodriguez wants that, the on-the-field product in the spring must be enticing enough to keep fans coming every year."
Everyone wants to break our record. Man, I'd love for us to have a locker room tour, but I don't see that happening. Even though it's on TV, Coach Saban says it's important to be there in person to support the team, and I hope the game being televised doesn't keep too many people away. How many times do you get to see the TIDE play in person for FREE?
ROLL TIDE!!!
Vote For Brittany Rogers
Brittany Rogers, an amazing member of our softball team is up for the Lowe's Senior Class Award. The Lowe's Senior CLASS Award is presented each year to the outstanding senior NCAA Division I Student-Athlete of the Year across nine different sports. The acronym "CLASS" stands for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School.
Fan voting counts 1/3 and Brittany is leading right now. You can vote once per day.

Best Wedding Cake EVAH!!!
Julio New SGA Senator
Is there any doubt how popular Julio is? In the most recent SGA election, he got write-in votes for every office and most senate seats. That included SGA President. He didn't get as many votes as last year, though, when he was still a senior at Foley High School.
The last line of the article is the funniest: "Ultimate approval will likely have to be from his coach, Nick Saban, who’ll have to get past losing to Jones in the race for president. Saban got six write-in votes."
Alabama Softball Team Thanks The Fans
rugman, I was just going to suggest your next "Better Know a Tider" be Kelley Montalvo. You gotta love her!!!
Iron Bowl Trophy Right Back Where It Belongs
Half-time was certainly the best part of the basketball game. Congratulations to our 2008 team. We will never forget the pride you brought back to the University of Alabama. Hey LittleSis, be sure to check out the player behind the Barn SGA president who sings Yea Alabama.
