BCS NC Game predictions

Im going to take a stab in the dark and guess that most people on this board are expecting UF to role right over OU. Duh! I mean why not? UF has Tebow...a better defense...better coaches...plays in the SEC (overall the SEC has MUCH better defenses than the Big-12), the Big-12 hasn't exactly shown up in bowl games this year(TT, OSU, Tejas), did i mention that UF has Tebow? Just go on any sports site and you will find write up after write about why UF will simple take OU to the wood shed....I don't see it that way...

Before you rip me to sheds let me explain!

I'm not saying OU will win but i think its going to be much closer than people think. I mentioned before that UF is getting the same amount of praise about this game as Bama did about Utah....not to drum up that pain again but we all know how that turned out. Uf is getting SO much praise, it's going to be near impossible not to let it get to them. The last time they playd in the NC, they were the underdogs....not so much this time. So just like Utah useed the disrespect card to motivate themselves past the Tide.....Don't be surprised to see OU come out with a chip on their shoulders.

Will I be surprised if the final score is say UF 38 OU 14? No. But i also won't be surprised if its a shoot out with a final score of UF 44 OU 40. The Sooners have shown the ability to score 60+ in what 6 straight games, so don't jusst count them out. This could easily go to the boomer sooners..

Also guys. Wouldn't it be awesome to see Tebow get humilated on national T.V. All the talk about him being basically God reincarnated into a football player....all the talk about UF being "a class higher than everyone else in the SEC"...redemption for the SEC CG.....watching Urban cry....and having all the gator fans shut up....thats enough reasons for me to pull for OU...

Mark Schlasomthing has some really strange predictions for 2009. My favorite is

17. Auburn will name Gus Malzahn its coach-in-waiting
After the Tigers lose their first three games against Louisiana Tech, Mississippi State and West Virginia, Auburn will name offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn its coach-in-waiting to succeed recently hired Gene Chizik. USC quarterback Mitch Mustain, who played for Malzahn in high school and briefly at Arkansas, will transfer to Auburn.

There is nothing i can say. I wish we would have had our full line up but what can you do. Your quickness indeed beat our strength. Im going to have nightmares of your recievers tonight. It seemed like every time i looked up you guys were gaining 10 yards through the air. You guys played your game and we didn't. Im proud how my team fought back in the 2nd 3rd and 4th quarter but it wasn't enough. Great job and good luck next season!

I just wanted to say good luck to you guys on tonights game. Good luck in the meaning that you guys play well, no one gets seriously injured but eventually Utah loses to my boys in Crimson. It should be a really good game. Alabama is being picked by most to "run right through" the Utes but i have a feeling its going to be much closer than people think. Utah has a great team and is very deserving of this bowl. (see people are saying Utah is a great team)

My prediction is Bama 31 Utah 20. (but its a 3-7 point game for the 1st 3 quarters)

Disclaimer: Remember back like 2 or 3 months when i was calling USC legit and the best team in America? Yeah I was dumb. I already admitted i was wrong so no need to bring up the past.

I was bored at work and decided to scroll through some sports sites and fell on a write up on ESPN actually bringing up the USC '08 squad as possibly one of the best defenses ever! WHAT! Wait just a gosh darn second! Are we so desperate for news that someone actually put this failing thought onto paper and then some delusional idiot published it so all could see? Perhaps im some retard but didn't USC lose a game this year? To Oregon State? Didn't they give up like 1,000 yards to some five foot nothing RB? Didn't they give up like 21 points in the 1st quarter of that game? Again call me stupid but that loss alone eliminates this team feom ever contending for this award.

You can give me all the stats in the world but when a team loses a game in that fashion, your defense aint that good. Now if they had lost say 13-7, i'd give them a break. But when it mattered most that so called "best defense ever" gave up a late TD to seal the loss.

"Best defense's ever" don't give up 186 yards rushing to a guy that can't even get on the faris wheel and "Best defense's ever" certainly don't allow 21 points in a half....i don't care if they only allowed 7 in the 2nd half....the 21 that preceded it was bad enough.

Ivan Maisel you should be ashamed of yourself...

Alright...Im going to attempt to watch this game and stay interested. Supposedly these two teams are "elite" and deserve to be in better bowls. Well they to need to prove that tonight. So far its 3-0 and im not so impressed. Boise looks really slow and outmanned...

TCU is ranked #1 in total defense but from what i have seen they haven't played anyone that would make me think that ranking is legit.

As most of you know im not very high on non-BCS teams, so the fact im even watching this game says im willing to give them a shot...

I almost lost my dinner last night while watching this play...and then again about 15 minutes ago when i saw this video. Besides Prothro, this might be the most disturbing image of an injury i have ever seen. From what i have heard this kid is the real deal. I pray that he is able to come back from this...just terrible...

You have to wonder if he has a point. Unless Turner showed little interest in the job or if he just flat out laughed in their faces, you have to ask the question was race the issue? I know Bama went through this with Croom and in fact its almost exactly the same. But in this situation Gill has the better resume, had the support of the fan base and probably would have done a good job. Instead they hire a guy who hasn't proven anything (he has proven he knows how to lose). Do you think race was an issue here? Im not sure if it was 100% of the reason but i do believe it played a factor.

Actually i have heard that part of the reason was because he's in a interracial marriage. GOD!! In this day and age you'd think people would have moved on!

Anyways....its something to think about.
