Dwight Howard as Lebron James.

Just friendly or are we witnessing watching the rivalry heat up unfold?

Orlando Sentinel's Mike Bianchi at his worst, once again. Can ESPN just hire this guy and get him as far away from Orlando as possible, please?

Nevertheless, the Orlando Magic, Portland Trail Blazers, Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs could be possibilities in sign-and-trade scenarios for [Amare] Stoudemire.

"They would have to really love the players coming back in a sign-and-trade," one source familiar with [Suns owner Robert] Sarver’s thinking told Yahoo! Sports.

Haven't heard official word, but it seems we are getting a new primary logo to go along with the new arena for next season.

What do you think?

Ricky Rubio's top 5 plays of this season. But why do we care? There is a certain mythical creature who appears in 3 of these plays. The Magic's own urban legend. Our Big Foot.

Orlando Pinstriped Post 3QC NBA Fantasy League?

I know there's a Mock GM thing going on, but honestly, I have not used that since I signed up for it, mostly because I'm not familiar with it. But I'm sure most of us are familiar with Fantasy Basketball, so I thought I'd suggest we do one of those for the 3QC community.

I'm thinking Ben or Eddy would set up a league, since they are the big dogs of the site. So it's up to them if they wanna add this on top of all the other 3QC stuff. I'm just throwing the idea out there!

The Create-a-Captions are fun and get pretty competitive (especially the epic #31!), but I think a fantasy league would be a hundred times more fun. The champ gets the ultimate bragging rights of being the first ever 3QC champion and gets to be the 3rd contributing editor of 3QC! (joke)

I think it'll be a lot of fun. So, what say you?

In a conversation with Blazers' general manager Kevin Pritchard, Smith told Pritchard that he had "caught a break" with Turkoglu signing elsewhere and made it clear the Blazers "weren't missing out on anything," sources tell RealGM's Alex Kennedy.

Orlando Pinstriped Post Anyone know a site where I can re-watch the game?

Anyone know a site where I can re-watch the game?

I was at a friend's party at a golf club and only got to see some of the 4th until they kicked us out when OT started. Ended up having to listen to the rest on the AM. Actually, a friend brought his laptop and had the game on there, but it was way too laggy to really follow.

Also, while I'm at it, does anyone know a good site for live streaming for sports games in general? (Gotta catch my Cubs games). I remember one of you guys gave a link to E after his cable went out or something. I also remember during the ECF, TNT actually had a good one that also had a bunch of other cameras on the fans, benches, cheerleaders, etc, but obviously, they don't use TNT anymore.

Thank you.

Orlando Pinstriped Post Dwight's Wrestling Name: Black Magic

Don't know if you guys remember, but at the end of his post game interview with David Aldridge, he said he found his new "wrestling name". Black Magic.

This came from earlier in the day from his Twitter and Facebook, in which he asked the fans to come up with a wrestling name for him (he photoshopped himself doing a flying elbow on Triple HHH). He said the person who came up with the best name would receive two tickets to one of the games in Orlando and an autographed pair of sneakers. He then said that he would reveal the name in the post-game interview.

Dwight did say that "there will be more to come", I guess concerning giveaways and such. I find it refreshing that someone as popular as him enjoys connecting with the fans this way. (If you guys remember, he was "tweeting" the whole Game 6 from his hotel room). And yes, he actually does reply back to most people on his Twitter. Check him out on Facebook and Twitter (he's on Twitter more, I believe).

BTW, my suggestion was "The Southern Fried Hammer" lol.

Orlando Pinstriped Post Courtney out for Game 6

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/2009/news/story?id=4110920

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Starting guard Courtney Lee will miss Game 6 of the Orlando Magic's playoff series against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Magic said Wednesday that Lee had a fractured sinus after taking an elbow to the head from teammate Dwight Howard in Game 5 on Tuesday night. Lee's status for the remainder of the playoffs is uncertain.

Howard soared to block a shot by Willie Green in the first quarter and inadvertently came down on his teammate. Lee was taken to a hospital as a precaution.

The Magic lead the Sixers 3-2 in the best-of-seven series. Game 6 is Thursday in Philadelphia.

Orlando could also be without Howard for the game. An NBA spokesman said the league is reviewing another elbow by Howard on the Sixers' Samuel Dalembert that drew a technical foul.

*********

Dwight's super elbow causing us some trouble. What are our chances for Game 6 w/o Courtney and possibly Dwight?

Orlando Pinstriped Post Wait... Turk got a vote for DEFENSIVE Player of the Year? Turk!?

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4086156

Even Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu, not known for his defense, managed to get one third-place vote.

"Probably the most impressive thing about the defensive player of the year award was two things," Magic general manager Otis Smith said. "The fact that Turkoglu finished in the top 16, and probably the fact that Dwight set out at the start of the season with a goal in mind to be the best defensive player in the league. He started with that goal in mind, and he finished it."

Can someone explain this to me? I must've missed something all season.

Orlando Pinstriped Post Need your help, guys. Doing a speech on why we will win the 'ship!

Yes, I still believe, even without Jameer, that we can go all the way. I already have a rough list of reasons, but I thought I could use a little more. And who better to look for help than my fellow Magic brethren (and sistren).

Here's my rough list:

  • -dwight dyop - lead reb, blk (only 5th ever) [knock on wood]
  • -top defenses
  • -record against top teams
  • -no detroit
  • -recent champs w/ bigs - hakeem 2, shaq 4, duncan 4
  • -forward mismatches - turk rash
  • -case against: 3 pt shooting team, jameer out, experience, injuries

I am going to expand on each point and I'm going to counter the cases against. What else could I add? I would really appreciate your input! I know we have many insightful minds in here! My speech is on Friday. Thank you!

Orlando Pinstriped Post Mike Bianchi

I don't know about you guys, but I've never liked Bianchi, from his completely unfunny songs he comes up with to his lame nicknames he has for everyone. I'm not sure if anyone has read that article today where he gives his take on the Shaq-Stan feud, but he really rips up the players for not reacting to Shaq, calling them "soft" and repeatedly referring to the team as the "Orlando Mollycoddlers". Mollycoddlers? Really?

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/orl-sportsbianchi06030609mar06z,0,3458614.column

I really don't see anything wrong with the players trying to put this Shaq stuff to rest. IMO, they reacted perfectly by not reacting at all and not taking this thing any further. Yes, I agree Shaq just wants the attention and maybe Stan shouldn't have started it. But I thought Dwight (14 years younger than Shaq, btw) did the right thing by not dropping down to his level. Then Bianchi pretty much mocks Dwight and the rest of the guys for not fighting back.

"We're not really worried about whatever anybody says about Coach," Howard said. "Why fight with somebody about words? I don't believe deep down in his heart, he [Shaq] thinks anything bad about me or Coach Van Gundy."

Awww, how sweet. Dwight thinks Shaq still has a good heart. Good grief, why not just cue up the Barney song? ... I love you, you love me; we're a happy fam-i-ly.

And how much more lame and unfunny can he get with the Barney thing? Dude reminds me of a wannabe Jim Rome (and, oh, how I hate that guy). I swear he just tries really hard to get enough attention so he can make it onto ESPN with the rest of those idiots (Rome, Stephen A., Chris Berman...).

Am I the only who thinks this? Do any of you guys think they're being soft?
