Blues' Playoff Motto

Look at the names they just put on the Stanley Cup. Joel Quenneville. Mike Kitchen. Michal Handzus. Jamal Mayers. Brings a tear to a Blues fan’s eye. I’m really glad Jammer got his name on the Cup tho.

See item 9: 9. Tim Wharnsby reported on The Hotstove that the Blues' negotiations to bring Brett Hull to run business operations hit a snag. Understand totally that it's Tom Stillman's toy now, but look at how far that franchise has come both on and off the ice. Why tinker with the momentum? Davidson, his hockey operations staff and Ken Hitchcock may not come cheap but they haven't underperformed. What can really hurt is players notice this stuff and wonder what it means for them. Things can really destabilize. [Emphasis mine]

Some Puck Daddy Love for the Blues

Here's Some Good News

Has anybody else noticed that the Blues' road record is now 11-13-3? Not fabulous but closer to the standard of "great at home, 0.500 on the road" that they always seemed to have when they were a "good" team. If we can come home from the current road trip with more wins than losses it may be time to end the "the Blues suck on the road" meme Winning consistently at home and splitting on the road is an ok way to win a playoff series or two.

Who Starts Thursday?

Elliott and Halak both pitched shutouts in their most recent starts. Who does the 'Cock put in net against the Canuckleheads on Thursday? Why?

Welcome back DP57, we have missed you! This is the best Blues news in months! I was beginning to believe that I had seen the last game DP57 was ever going to play in the NHL.

Brad Richards to be an UFA

The Note is a very very long shot given the ownership situation, but he would be an interesting addition, no?

Please get this done. This guy was born to wear the Note. Proven scorer. Stanley Cup experience. Burning desire. And a name to kill for. Make it happen. Your season ticket holders will reward you for it.
