As I've mentioned in numerous forums (because I'm just excited!), I attended the RedHawks/Iowa Cubs game Wednesday night in Des Moines. Here are the photos from that game. There will probably be another batch from Thursday if the sun and my camera can get along :) Enjoy
Rookie karaoke from tonight's Triple Play. (I snagged this photo from someone else online.) I could be wrong, but my guess -- from L to R -- is CD, Harrison, Elvis, Tea and Holland. Reportedly, they sang "Afternoon Delight."
For awhile now, I've been wanting a baseball tattoo. I didn't want anything player or team, related, but I wanted it to be significant. So, tonight, after dinner with Rachel, Lisa and Holly, Lisa and I headed off to get some ink. What do you think?
No Pudge Brownies
((Rachel and I will be baking these for the Opening Day LSB Tailgate Party. Yes, I have officially arrived in Texas and am looking forward to the next few days.))
Opening Day Meetup
Those on my facebook list have already caught wind of this shindig, which was mentioned late last season. But I thought I better bring it to the actual board for non-facebook people (I've been told they exist).
I will be making the trek to Texas for Opening Day (bigger deal than the game, I know), and would enjoy meeting up with fellow LSBers and putting some faces with screennames. I'll be staying with RachelB, that much I know so far. And we're probably going to the exhibition game on Saturday. And I'm probably getting some new ink with lisaw. And I'm definitely going to Opening Day.
I just wonder if anyone else is interested in a big meetup. If so, would it be better before the game? Or would we like to all sit together? I'm a planner, so I like to know things ahead of time. And since Opening Day tickets go on sale to the public on March 7, decision time is quickly approaching.
So...thoughts???

Barry Zito tries to deny he IS Barry Zito
I don't like the guy, but this was pretty funny.
OT: Harrell gets in the holiday spirit
I enjoyed this for two reasons...
1. I am rather fond of Graham Harrell.
2. My friends and I had an ugly Christmas outfits bar crawl last weekend. Ha ha.
P.S. I truly believe it's a travesty that Graham wasn't even INVITED to the Heisman ceremony on Sunday. I didn't figure he'd win, but he should have at least been invited. Grr.
I'm sharing with you all my baseball-themed Christmas tree. There are red, white and blue lights; blue and red ornaments and miniature baseballs and bats on the tree. Of course, there is also a Rangers santa hat as the "star" and --- my favorite part --- a baseball tree skirt, WHICH I MADE :-) And I'm going to be adding more stuff to the tree tomorrow. I got a 2008 team set of Rangers baseball cards, so I'll be making collectors everywhere cry when I punch a hole in them tomorrow and hang them on the tree. :-)
P.S. That is my furry baby, Cleo, off to the right.
