Free Agency Preview Part 1: Centers
Free Agent centers we can only hope to get.
No Sympathy For Teams With Injuries
As I watch the NBA playoffs of 2012 I continue to hear a common theme: Injuries to superstars. As a Rockets fan, as cold hearted as this may sound, I don't give a damn about anyone losing their superstar or any other player to injury. We have have injuries to key players and we just keep ongoing about our business as if nothing happened. But these other teams who are "struggling" in the playoffs because of "injury" are getting passes and it makes me sick because we never got that excuse from the media.
1st its the Bulls losing Derrick Rose to an ACL injury. Then soon after that they lose Joakim Noah to injury. Then it's Iman Shumpert and Baron Davis going down to knee injuries. In the second round Chris Bosh goes down with an abdominal strain and now the media is giving them a pass against the Pacers. Now it has been reported that D Wade is suffering through a knee injury. I am so happy his pansy ass is hurt, but it pisses me off because they are getting sympathy. The guy is at least still playing and when you get on the court you better play and play hard. Weak ass excuse and I ain't giving them any kind of pass. They can kiss my ass!
Another team that is getting injury excuses is the punk ass Clippers. First they use the Chauncey Billups injury as a crutch when the Grizzlies were getting in that ass. Now they wanna use Griffin and Paul being hurt as an excuse to why they are getting raped by Tony Parker and the Spurs. This is bull shit because they are still playing! If you play then you really can't make no excuses.
Again, as a Rockets fan I will never feel sympathy for teams who have injuries to anyone because when we were going through it year after year we were still getting shat upon. If you ask me, with the exception of the Bulls, they all deserve these "injuries". Clippers and Knicks deserve it because Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony politicked their way to "bigger markets". Miami deserves it because they decided three pussies are better than one.
Shot out to the Pacers and the Spurs. Those are what you call basketball TEAMS. Not teams with "superstars" who's only hope is getting "superstar calls" all the way to the FInals. TEAMS win rings, not individuals.
Value Picks in 2012 NBA Draft
This article provides a great prospective on raw vs polished players coming out of college. Could help in trying to guess who we could take in the draft with our later picks.

Rockets fans in Houston are pathetic.
Why am I saying this? Because this is officially a fact. How can we have a team playing very well right now and in the 4th largest city in the US, but have the second worst attendance in the NBA? Teams like the Hornets, Nets, Kings, and Wizards. These are terrible teams. We are second only to the Pistons. I sure would like to hear theories on this rubbish. I would not be surprised if the team got moved to another city because this city does not deserve to have a basketball team. The fans don't care unless we rip 22 wins in a row. And even then they will say it's a "fluke". Can someone explain this to me?

Rockets Guard Kyle Lowry Charged with Misdemeanor Battery
[Clearly, Kyle has some temper problems. He's charged with misdemeanor battery over an incident during a basketball game in Las Vegas during the summer. He assaulted a referee with a basketball, and faces a penalty of up to six months in jail or a $1000 fine. -- oal]
So Who Is Going To Be The New Favorite Whipping Boy?
No more Aaron Brooks to throw stones at. No more Tracy McGrady to kick around for being injured. Terrence Williams is starting to silence some haters. So just who is going to be the guy who most people are going to bitch and moan about all season (unless traded of course)?
The Rockets are so unnoticed by the national media that in this image they decided the put "Milwaukee Bucks" where "Houston Rockets" is supposed to be. Epic fail. Fuck you ESPN.
Moving Forward
Here's the thing though, after Dwight Howard gets traded there will be 0 superstars who could potentially request a trade. Guys like Durant, Rose, Griffin, and Wall are all on still on their rookie scale contracts and they aren't going anywhere anytime soon. The only guy I can see getting traded that is going to be elite is Russel Westrbrook after OKC realizes that he and Durant together aren't going to work out in the long haul since Westbrook is more scorer than passer (not to mention he turns the ball over like steve francis used to). Even if Wesbrook is on the block we wouldn't have the pieces to give back that would make sense for their team. I say continue to rebuild and see what we have with our own guys before we start to water at the mouth thinking about what superstars are available.
People are saying we should trade Kevin Martin and Luis Scola and I agree. Question is: who want them and does that team have something we covet? Well, what do we even covet? We covet a legit center and or future/current superstar. For the reason I stated above we won't even use current superstars. Here are a couple examples of what I think we could do.
Wanna trade Martin? A team reported to be interested is the Timberwolves. If they want Martin they have to give me Derrick Williams and whatever comes with him. I prefer a future 1st rounder and maybe Nikola Pekovic. Throw Chase Budinger in there and maybe even Chandler Parsons.
Wanna trade Scola? We could trade him to like a New Orleans team who needs a PF since the departure of David West. We could trade Scola and Hasheem Thabeet for newly acquired Chris Kaman or Emeka Okafor depending on how well Thabeet has progressed and whether or not wants Okafor or Kaman after the season.
Keep in mind those are just examples so don't roast me if you happen to disagree. I am just showing the direction the Rockets are headed at the moment and that we have a 1% chance of landing a free agent superstar or trading for an unhappy one. Discuss.....
We Don't Have Anything That Could Net Us A Superstar
What the fuck do we really have that could realistically get us a superstar? Nothing. Our roster does not consist of anyone who has potential superstar talent nor will we ever be bad enough to get a high enough draft pick that we could use to trade for a superstar. Can we be realistic here? We would have to have season ending injuries to Scola, Lowry, Martin early on for us to be bad enough to get a top 5 pick in the draft, if that.
Let's face it, those three guys are our best players and best trade chips as well. If we are even going to trade anyone it should be Scola, Martin, and Dragic. I don't suggest trading Lowry because he is still young and he has a moderate contract. Dragic, however, is going to be a RFA and we know what Daryl does with those. Even Courtney Lee could end up getting traded for something.
I think Flynn and Hill will break out this season and maybe even T-will. If they do happen to break out you will see Dragic, Scola, and maybe even Martin get traded for maybe picks and change. I think we should trot out what we have as a team right now to see exactly what we have before making trades and getting superstar happy anyway. Let our guys do their jobs and play ball like they know how.
Donatas Motiejunas - 2011 International Draft Prospect Scouting Report Scouting Report
"Somewhat surprisingly, Motiejunas guarded the post better than I initially realized."
Rockets' Yao Ming has decided to retire from the NBA, league sources tell Y! Sports. He informed the league office within past 48 hours.
Breaking News: David Stern to resign as NBA commissioner. Tim Donaghy to replace him?

NBA commissioner David Stern was reported to step down to "spent more time with family". It was reported this morning on the What We All Want To Happen News that former NBA Referee Tim Donaghy has threatened to relaease a recording that was given to a referee crew right before a "specific game" for certain calls and rule should be disregarded "for a certain player on a certain team" in a playoffs series. Rumor has it that Donaghy demanded that Stern step down as commissioner and have him to replace Stern or Donaghy will release the recording to the players and front office executives. Sources close to the situation are saying that they are glad that Stern is leaving. One unnamed source said," I'm glad that douchebag is gone. Now there can be parity in our league and we don't have to worry about referees fucking over certain teams because they aren't the Lakers." When asked if Donaghy would do a good job the source replied,"Anyone could do a better job than that piece of crab David Stern. Finally he is being exposed for the fraud that he is."
This video package gives a better look at what to expect from our 14th draft pick Marcus Morris.
"POWER FORWARD", THE OPEN 2011 DRAFT VENT THREAD.
So the Rockets have an infatuation with guys who are 6'9 or who play PF. This is the most fucking ridiculous thing I have ever seen. I have scratched my head so hard that my scull is showing. What is the point of adding three more PF's to an already PF heavy team? It is madness! I sure hope that Daryl Morey has a plan for this because if not then he will be fired. I am done ranting about this shit for now so please add your own comments and feel free to openly vent.
Pre-Draft Post
I have been a bit quiet for a while so I guess it is time for the Batman to come back out of the Batcave. There has been much talk about the draft, who we should draft, and trade scenarios. Since I no longer deal with hypotheticals I am going to give you what I think should happen in our current state with all three of our picks.
Vucevic lottery-bound?
"USC center Nikola Vucevic has had as impressive a rise as anyone, and sources said he could wind up being a lottery pick because Houston is high on him at No. 14."

Notes on the Finals
I've been quiet for a bit, but I finally have a few things to say. I have been a faithful viewer of the 2011 NBA Finals and I have picked up on a few things and I expect some things to happen in the coming days.
• Sources say Houston, which has the No. 14 pick, is interested in moving up in the draft. One potential partner might be Sacramento, as the Kings are believed to be open to such a move in exchange for impactful veteran help.
Clips could've made same Baron/#1 trade for Yao's expiring/insured contract. BIG mistake. RT @rlevine33 Mo Williams' PG instincts are awful.
Batman Returns!/Has anyone noticed something?
After a while of losing sleep while studying for finals, Batman Returns to take over his Gotham City that is TDS. Breaking News: The Truth About Why The Spurs Lost
Right before the playoffs began, Manu Ginobili had sex with a bitch named Karma. This wasn't good sex though. It was more like something you do when you lose a bet. As a matter of fact he was raped, yes raped, by this Karma gal. But why? Why did this happen? And how did this happen?
Well let me start by saying that as we all should know by now the 1st seeded San Antonio Spurs lost to the 8th seeded Memphis Grizzlies. Before the playoff series former Rocket Shane Battier sent his evil female twin Karma to seduce Mr. Ginobili. Manu being the prick that he is gave in to the seduction. Karma, being a witch, casted a spell of bad luck on Manu during the intercourse which he would then spread to the rest of his useless team.
This spell essentially cost the Spurs their championship hopes. When the news broke about Battier sending his evil twin sister to basically sabotage the Spurs, Battier was asked why he did it. He then responded,"I did it for my ex-teammate Aaron Brooks. Manu's dirty play sabotaged Aaron's season so I vowed to do the same to the Spurs in upsetting fashion. I am the one who asked to be traded to the Griz so I could execute this plan and I did it to perfection. Don't ever fuck with my teams!"
