A bronco fan living near San Francisco Bay. I became a fan in the Air Force, back in the early 70's. I watched with amazed disbelief as the Orange Crush came of age, and Morton and Moses almost led us to the promised land. And then Big John came along, and the expectations rose and fell, seemingly destined to forever be good enough to make the playoffs, but too high to draft for the last piece. And then Mike came back, we dipped into free agency, found TD, and one back-to-back Super Bowls. Since then, it has been a long, agonizing time, watching maybe the most talented coach in the universe piece together competitive teams with far less talent than most teams in the division. I was crushed with the AFC Championship Game, and watched it all slip away. I've watched, with bated breath, as Mike has dismantled an old team, so many cherished players slipping away as the Window closed.

So, maybe, here we are again, back in the early 1980's. I remember a very young team, lead by a very young quarterback out of a school which was the doormat of their league. I remember the Broncos starting to win, but not over the hump, putting no one in the Pro Bowl, and that young quarterback handing out Rodney Dangerfield t-shirts to the team. Maybe, just maybe the cycle begins to repeat itself.

But please, please, please, leave the orange jersies deep in the closet.
