Golden State Of Mind Start Charles Jenkins!

Tonight is the perfect night to start Charles Jenkins. Curry is clearly not ready with the ankle issues. Ish Smith doesn't have the handles to start. With Jenkins, you get a big PG who can defend Rose. Plus he has shown so far to be a pretty good passer who can also get to the rim.If you want to get Curry some minutes, bring him in when Rose subs out. He's not going to be able to guard Rose and contribute offensively on a tender ankle. I thought the job Coach Jackson did with the frontcourt minutes was good, just need to get better contributions from the guards.

NBA sources say San Antonio has offered George Hill to Milwaukee (#10), Golden State (#11) and Utah (#12) in exchange for their pick.

Anyone interested in this? Hill would be a good addition to the backcourt, and this draft isn't that deep. Thoughts?

Per Matt Steinmetz, it appears that two highly regarded coaches will not be stalking our sidelines next season. While disappointing, it also frees us up to go after younger coaches with something to prove. It's also very good news to hear that we reached out to those coaches, and that Lacob is doing an extensive search. I think this pushes Mike Brown to the top of the list with some other prominent assistant coaches as options. Thoughts?

I have an extra ticket for Wednesday's game vs the Nets, section 17 row 3. Was thinkin it would be cool to go with a true Warriors fan. Hit me up at tadams1080@gmail.com if interested.

Ok, I'm still grinning from ear to ear about the impending Warriors sale. Just finished up an online league with four teams and it's a lot of fun. Wanted to find out if anyone was interested in an 8 or more team league. Would be a live draft that everybody agrees on, and games would be played at everyone's convienence. Let me know if anyone is interested.

It appears Maggette is going to be out for awhile. As much as I have hated on Maggette in the past, I gotta give him props for stepping up like he did this season. He played mucho minutes, and played extremely efficient ball for the most part. On the other hand, this gives other guys a chance to step up and prove themselves. Since playoffs are out of the picture, I expect to see Morrow/Tolliver/CJ get a lot of minutes.

So it's official, Wright will be surgery on his shoulder. No timetable on his return. This is terrible news for a good prospect, and makes our frontcourt less deep. Here's hoping he recovers well and can put it together when he gets back.

Nice little vid of Steph Curry and kinda showing his life preparing for the season. He seems like a good well rounded kid, and has a lot of support. Having a dad who's a 16 year NBA vet doesn't hurt either. I love that he still has to do chores. It's good that he's working on his shot and other things every day. Can't wait to see him in action!

Even if the front office makes you wanna jump off a bridge, the Warriors still have some of the dopest throwback jerseys ever. Good to see that they are being recognized across the league. Apparently, we are #2 on the list to the Celtics green and white classic jersey. Not too bad. Not gonna make any free agents wanna come here, but still pretty cool

Very sad news. I'm hoping that the various radio stations are incorrect, and that he is still alive. The man is an icon, and changed the world of music forever. Honestly, I don't even care about the draft tonight after hearing this.

Trade between the Kings and Bulls sending Brad Miller and John Salmons to Chicago for Andres Nocioni, Drew Gooden and Cedric Simmons. Chicago will be better after this trade. Sacramento may have done it for salary issues.

ESPN is reporting that Tyson Chandler is being traded to the OKC Thunder for Chris Wilcox and Joe Smith. This makes the Thunder a good young team, and gives them some toughness. The West just got a little bit better.

Golden State Of Mind Report: Harrington out 2 weeks with bad back

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3695013

Does this seem like a legitimate injury to you guys? It's obvious to everyone that Harrington wants out, and I'm wondering what will transpire over the next couple weeks. It's a little frustrating, because we could really use someone in Al's spot to come in and contribute. I think at this point, the Warriors should be open to all offers, and be aggressive on the phones. I'm a little worried though that this "injury" will turn people off from trading for him immediately. What do you guys think?

Golden State Of Mind Billups likely not in the lineup for tomorrow's game.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3682890

I figured he wouldn't play so soon after being acquired.  This should be easy, they won't really have a point guard! Wait, we don't either....lol. Anyway, this would be the perfect rebound game for us, especially on national TV. Hopefully the fans will be pumped up, and we can keep Melo and JR Smith in check. I'd like to see Turiaf muscle up K-mart. Hopefully it will be a great time out!

Golden State Of Mind Report: Iverson to Detroit for Billups and McDyess

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3679931

I am kind of in shock of this trade. I don't think it works particularly well for either team, maybe just a way to get Iverson out of Denver. It'll be interesting to see if this shakes up anything for either squad, hopefully it will make Denver worse! Just wanted to get your opinions on if you think the trade was good for either team

Golden State Of Mind Gotta Love Captain Jack

Stephen Jackson, Golden State Warrior

"There'll be big talk in Houston, because Tracy McGrady has had his injuries and everyone knows about his trouble in the playoffs. There will be some clash in people's minds when he and Ron Artest work well together. And the Warriors -- we'll be there at the top of the West even without Monta Ellis for the first part of the season, and people are going to be talking about that."

I thought this made for an interesting read, and wondered what you guys thought about it. I am trying to be overly optimistic about this season because I think it won't be easy, but it really seems like we have a much more athletic and deep team than before. What do you guys think our record will be after November?

Golden State Of Mind Warriors Sign Free Agent Justin Williams to fill up Roster

http://www.nba.com/warriors/news/warriors_sign_justin_williams.html

The Warriors signed Justin Williams, which now brings the roster to 18. This is really a no risk move to bring in another big guy. With our roster as it stands, I'd like to see Nellie rotate a lot of guys in and see what combinations work. With Monta being out, it seems that the pressure will be off for a while, so it's a great time to experiment.

Golden State Of Mind REPORT: Pietrus to sign with Orlando Magic

http://www.nba.com//news/Magic_Sign_Pietrus_080708.html

I'm happy for Pietrus, and for the Warriors. By adding Maggette, it really did make him all the more expendable. No more possessions lost because Mickael stepped out of bounds! We seem to be stockpiled with forwards  and shooting guards, now if we could just get a steady point guard I will be very happy with this summer. Some might say we are overpaying Maggette, but the guy fits Nellie's system and he gets to the line like a maniac.
