Is Brock Lesnar a Heel?
Recentley MMa Payout stated that UFC 106 Lesnar/Carwin could possibly do a million ppv buys. Possibly 1.5. maybe more.
A fan on another site brought it to my attention that Brock losing to Carwin at UFC 106 could be "good business" for the UFC. I strongly disagreed. I feel that Brock has this aura of invincibility, kinda like Fedor, right now, that a loss would severely hurt his popularity and his marketability.
A few other hardcore fans strongly disagreed with me, stating that Brock is a big enough of a Heel, that he would draw the same #s because, just as many people or MORE pay to see Brock lose than pay to watch him win.
I find this notion to be prepostorous. I realize that Brock has his share of detractors, and that he was booed in his last fight with Frank Mir in Vegas(Mir's hometown) after he flipped off the crowd. But Las Vegas does not make up the rest of the country's opinion or the rest of the world for that matter.
I happen to think Brock is more liked as a fighter than despised, and find it hard to believe that he could pull in a million+ ppv buys just because fans dislike him so much. But i have been wrong before, so i decided to make this into a FanPost on MMAFORREAL because i am a bit of a regular here, and i know no one will agree with me just to kiss my ass or not piss me off. I also know that the fans here won't disagree with me just for a long drawn out debate or for some kind of personal vendetta. Fans of this site tend to keep it real. so what say thee? is brock a Heel or a fan favourite?
5 Reasons Why UFC 99 Should Be Free On Spike TV!
Promoted And Slightly Edited From Fanposts To Frontpage By Kelvin Hunt
Reason-#1. Spike TV owes us one. UFC 93, Hendo vs Franklin in Ireland was SUPPOSED to be free, the UFC was all for it, but Spike nixed the idea, citing reasons like that it was too expensive for Spike's tv production budget because it fell in the 1rst quarter of the year. Well the 1rst quarter is over.
Reason-#2. The UFC owes us one after last saturday's abysmal main event and overall lackluster show. Dana White even admitted that he was embarresed and apologized to the fans for such a sorry fight, saying that he wouldn't blame the fans for being upset.
Reason-#3. IT's overseas! That means it will air live on PPV during the afternoon on a Saturday, and then re-aired pre-recorded that evening. Big fight's are meant to be seen at night and nothing beats the feeling of watching a fight live as it happens.
Reason#4-There's no title on the line. Rich Franklin vs Wanderlei Silva is a fine main event and should make for a good fight, but no title on the line is a little less appealing to the average fan, which makes up the majority of PPV sales.
Reason-#5. It's right before UFC 100, which is going to be their bigggest event of all time. What better way to advertise this historic event than to air promo's for the fight's while millions will be watching 99 for free. Plus it will save fans more money to want to order 100.
Me personally, i can't think of any more reasons than that, but anyone is welcome to try and feel free to come up with more. Cheers!

UFC 100 HAS ME THINKING WHO'S NEXT FOR THE HOF?
All this talk of the upcoming UFC 100 and the big Expo has got me thinking about history. The UFC Hall Of Fame to be precise. Who's next? It seems that Chuck Liddell and Matt Hughes are the 2 fighters who are closest to retiring that are locks. It also makes me wonder if the UFC will ever actually open a HOF facility and have ceremonies like baseball does in cooperstown and the nfl has in canton. I think it would be awesome if they did, but right now they just don't have enough members. Randy,Royce,Dan and Ken are the only current members. Add Chuck and Matt and that's still only 6. Fighters who are not in, but should be considered as pioneers to me are Tank, Bas, Maurice Smith, Don Frye and maybe Marcos Ruas. I also wonder if they will induct current stars such as Hendo, Wandi,Rampage and Big Nog who made their names in Pride .(Rampage could probably make it off his stint in the UFC alone before he's through). They are definetly worthy and both Dan and Wand started off in the UFC. All 4 should be in someday imo since the UFC took over Pride. Kind of like the WWE inductucting Ric Flair even though he made his name in the old NWA&WCW. (sorry for the wrasslin reference). Rich Franklin is someone who i see as a tweener. He has a little more work to do, but i think he'll get there someday. A.Silva, GSP and BJ all seem to be future locks. Now all they have to do is build the damn building. Build it and they will come. Someday .So who's next?
