Casual Hoya help me help you...enough with boeheim

Poll on http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/ today asks you who your favorite Big East coach of the 1980s was?  As of 1pm GMT, and 41,944 votes casted and counted, early results were:

Boeheim 39%, JT 28%, Rollie 20% and The Sweater 13%.  As a native NYer, I admit to voting for good old Lou. But I am united in your cause that Boeheim sucks...so go to the men's hoops pages on espn.com and help right what is clearly a wrong.

As an aside, day by day, I am given more reason not to cast all teh blame on Coach Broadus (former Hoya asst who recruited Jeff Green for the amatuer's out there) for the debacle that has become Binghamton athletics.

Finally big kudos to whomever on this blog started the sell out the traitors who give their seats away to opposing fans.

Casual Hoya Holiday cheer from the conference that Broadus once ruled

Does the Big East do this for you?.....

Somewhere deep down, as an upstate NY college attendee, i am forced to cheer for Cornell's win ofver the Johnnies. That said, I am a NYer at heart, love the Redman (yeah you heard me, i don't buy into this red storm crap) - Hoya battles at MSG and want the Johnnies to be good. No excuses on New Year's Eve....NONE!  Happy holidays everyone (except for you lordnick).

Casual Hoya #28 Bearcats, #29 Hoyas

While i have no clue what the legitimacy of this poll is, check out how ex-Hoya asst Kevin Broadus's Binghamton Bearcats rank in this preseason poll (28) vs the Hoyas (29).

http://www.hoopscooponline.com/members/preseasoncollegebasketballteams-2009-2010.html

28. Binghamton: The Bearcats will have the the star power with D.J. Rivera, Tiki Mayben, and Malik Alvin,  the experience with four other players back who started six or more game last year, and the depth with five excellent recruits.

29. Georgetown: On paper this should be one of the better teams in the tough Big East Conference with players like Greg Monroe, Austin Freeman, & Chris Wright providing what should be a great nucleus.  But a lack of quality depth and last year's level of mediocrity are causes for concern.
